Furniture and Household Shipping
A whole home’s furniture is shipped once — and what arrives broken is not made good by an apology. So our work starts with the packing, not the loading.
What do we do?
- Inspection and volume estimate in cubic metres — which is what sets the cost, not the weight.
- Dismantling: bedrooms, kitchens and offices, with the screws kept in numbered bags taped to the piece itself.
- Multi-layer packing: blankets for surfaces, foam for glass and mirrors, double-wall cartons for appliances, and corner guards.
- Numbering and the contents list: every box numbered, with a list written for customs — which is what shortens clearance in the destination country.
- Loading and securing inside the container so that nothing moves however the vessel rolls.
A full or a shared container?
A full one for a whole home: it travels alone, so it arrives sooner and waits for nobody. A shared one for a few pieces or boxes: you pay only for the cubic metres you use, in return for a slightly longer wait.
What is not shipped?
- Flammable materials, aerosols and gas cylinders.
- Perishable food and plants.
- Cash, jewellery and original documents — they stay with you.
- Medicines in quantity without documents.
A tip that saves you a great deal
Sort before you ship. Every cubic metre is charged, and many people pay to ship pieces that would have been better sold. We tell you plainly which pieces are not worth the cost of shipping.
