Expected Transit Times
These are estimated times based on our usual lines. The actual time varies with the port, the shipping season and whether the documents are complete — and the quote we send states the time for your destination specifically.
Land freight — neighbouring countries
- The UAE: two to four days.
- Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar: two to five days.
- Oman: three to six days.
- Jordan: four to seven days.
- Iraq: five to ten days.
Air freight
- The Gulf: one to three days.
- Egypt and the Levant: two to five days.
- Europe: three to seven days.
- Asia and the Americas: five to ten days.
Sea freight
- The Gulf: seven to fifteen days.
- Egypt and the Red Sea: ten to twenty days.
- North Africa and Europe: twenty to forty days.
- West Africa: thirty to fifty-five days.
- Asia: twenty to thirty-five days.
- The Americas and Australia: thirty to sixty days.
What most companies leave out of the time
- Days of packing and collection: one to three.
- Waiting for the sailing date: two to seven, depending on the line.
- Clearance in the destination country: three to ten days.
- Inland transport to the address: one to four.
This is why a shipment “taking 25 days” may in fact take 40 days from handover to handover. And we state the whole time in the quote, rather than the sailing time alone.
What lengthens the time?
- A missing document or a general description in the contents list.
- Peak seasons: the Eids and the end of the year.
- Congestion at the arrival port.
- Shared containers wait until they are full.
- Random customs inspection.
