RoRo Car Shipping
RoRo is short for Roll-on/Roll-off: the vehicle drives onto the vessel on its own wheels by a ramp, is lashed on a dedicated deck, then drives off at the arrival port. It is not packed and not lifted by crane.
Who is it for?
- Used cars that run under their own power.
- Trucks, buses and self-propelled equipment.
- Multiple batches for dealers — because the unit price improves with volume.
Its advantages
- The most economical for a single vehicle — you do not pay for a whole container.
- Faster loading procedures at equipped ports.
- It suits large vehicles that do not fit in a container.
What to know before choosing
- The vehicle travels on an open deck inside the vessel’s holds — less protected than in a container.
- It must run and be drivable; otherwise a container is the option.
- The cabin travels completely empty: no luggage and no spare parts inside.
- Not every port receives RoRo — we confirm it is available for your destination before pricing.
How do we prepare your vehicle for RoRo?
- Inspection, with photographs of the condition and the odometer.
- Review of the documents, deregistration and export.
- Emptying the cabin and setting the fuel level.
- Delivery to the port yard in time for the sailing.
- Following up the sailing, arrival and clearance through to delivery.
