Packing the kitchen and appliances for the long road

- Fridge and washing machine: emptied and dried, with their doors and drum secured.
- Air conditioners: removed by a technician, with the two units kept in two cartons.
- Wardrobes and beds: dismantled, with their screws in a bag taped to the piece.
- Numbering: each carton with its number and room, entered in the list.

The shared load: how does it work?
Many Syrians return home from the Eastern Province, so shared trucks fill regularly.
- Partitions: boards and straps separate each family’s shipment from the others.
- A tag for each shipment: with its owner’s name and the delivery city.
- Order in the truck: the last to be delivered is loaded first.
- A separate list: each family has its own inventory and signature.
- The date: the truck leaves when it is full, and we tell you the expected date at booking.
The road, the crossings and the documents
The truck passes four border points: the Saudi Al Haditha, the Jordanian Al Omari, the Jordanian Jaber and the Syrian Nassib. It crosses Jordan in transit on a transit document.
- Passport and Saudi residence permit, or proof that it has ended.
- A numbered contents list in Arabic.
- Proof of previous residence in the Kingdom and of your final departure.
- Consignee details: name, address and a Syrian mobile number.

Syrian customs and returnees’ furniture
- The exemption: in 2025 Syria’s General Authority for Land and Sea Border Crossings announced that returnees are exempt from charges on their belongings and home furniture.
- For used goods: new appliances in their boxes and in quantity are treated as goods.
- What is not shipped: flammable materials, filled gas cylinders and weapons.
- Carried by hand: cash, gold and official papers.
