Who ships from Jeddah to Lebanon, and what do they ship?
Jeddah and Lebanon have an old connection: Lebanese families who settled in the city decades ago and worked in trade, restaurants, engineering, medicine and teaching, and Saudis who own summer homes in the mountains. So shipments on this line are varied; the largest in volume is the furniture of someone who has finished work and gone home, and the most numerous are the cartons and gifts families send to their relatives. In the seasons there is also the excess luggage a Lebanese Umrah pilgrim leaves behind before flying. The table matches each shipper with the method that usually suits them:
| Shipper | What they send | Suitable method |
|---|---|---|
| A Lebanese family returning for good | The whole home’s furniture, appliances and books | Full truck by land, or a 20ft or 40ft container |
| A resident sending to family | Cartons of clothes, appliances, dates and gifts | Shared load by land |
| A Saudi with a home in Lebanon | Bedrooms, majlis sets, carpets and appliances | Shared load, or a part load by sea |
| An Umrah or Hajj pilgrim | Bags and cartons over the airline allowance | Air for a little, shared land load for a lot |
| A car owner | A car less than 8 years old | Container to Beirut port |
| A trader or factory | Dates, foodstuffs, plastics and building materials | Full container, or a truck for what is urgent |
Shipping methods from Jeddah to Lebanon and how long each takes
Most cities in the Kingdom have one practical method to Lebanon, and anything else passes through another city first. Jeddah has the port and the airport, and the northern road starts from it, so you choose among the three methods according to the shipment, not according to what happens to be available. The times in the table start at collection in Jeddah and end with delivery at the Lebanese address, clearance days included:
| Method | Door-to-door time | Charging unit | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full truck by land | 6–9 days | The truck | A whole home’s furniture, and urgent goods |
| Shared load by land | 8–12 days | The cubic metre or the piece | One or two rooms, cartons and luggage |
| Full container by sea | 12–18 days | The container | A car, heavy goods and a lot of furniture |
| Part load by sea | 15–20 days | The cubic metre | Under 15 m³ with no urgency |
| Air | 2–4 days | The chargeable kilogram | Documents, parcels and urgent bags |
The land route from Jeddah crosses four countries. Its longest stage is inside the Kingdom, from Jeddah to the Tabuk region, followed by Jordan from south to north, then a short distance in Syria, then the descent from the Bekaa to the Lebanese coast. The distances are approximate and change with the road the driver takes inside the Kingdom:
| Stage | Approximate distance | What happens on it |
|---|---|---|
| Jeddah → Tabuk → Halat Ammar | About 1,000–1,100 km | Roughly a day and a half of driving, then the export declaration and sealing of the truck |
| Mudawwara → Ma’an → Amman → Jaber | About 400 km | Crossing Jordan on a transit document |
| Nassib → Damascus → Jdeidet Yabous | About 150 km | Crossing Syria on a transit document |
| Masnaa → Chtaura → Beirut | About 60 km | Lebanese clearance, then distribution of shipments to the regions |
What lengthens the time?
- A congested crossing: there are six border posts on the road, and a delay at one delays everything after it.
- Moving the load between two trucks: this may be required in the yard of a crossing under the practice at the time, and takes half a day to a day.
- Snow on Dahr al-Baidar: the mountain road between the Bekaa and Beirut is sometimes closed in winter.
- The Hajj and Umrah season: traffic in Jeddah, its port and its airport gets heavy, so we book dates earlier.
- An incomplete file: an abbreviated list, or an embassy statement not yet issued.
Prices of a shipping company from Jeddah to Lebanon
Each method has its charging unit: the truck or the cubic metre by land, the container by sea, and the kilogram by air. The price we send states what it covers item by item, from dismantling and packing in Jeddah to unloading in Lebanon, so that you can compare it fairly with any other. These are our starting prices from Jeddah:
| What you ship | Method | Price starts from |
|---|---|---|
| A small parcel | Shared land | SAR 55 |
| A household appliance or a single piece of furniture | Shared land | SAR 415 |
| A bedroom | Shared land | SAR 920 |
| A shipment of luggage, cartons and bags | Shared land | SAR 1,650 |
| A small flat’s furniture | Land | SAR 3,700 |
| A large flat’s furniture | Land by full truck | SAR 6,000 |
| A 20ft container | Sea to Beirut port | SAR 4,600 |
| A saloon car | Sea | SAR 2,800 |
| Parcels and urgent bags | Air | SAR 14 per kilogram |
| An envelope of documents | Express | SAR 83 |
| A 40ft container, or a part load by the cubic metre | Sea | Set on request |
| A car on a road transporter, or a villa’s furniture | Land | Set on request |
Prices circulating in the market for this line vary widely. For furniture removals from Jeddah, a bedroom is advertised at SAR 1,000 to 3,000, a home’s furniture at SAR 3,000 to 7,000, a villa at SAR 3,800 to 8,800, and office furniture at SAR 3,000 to 4,000, while others quote general figures starting from SAR 1,300 and reaching SAR 5,000. For parcels, a parcel is offered from SAR 60, a household appliance from SAR 450, a kilogram at SAR 60 to 80, and a container at SAR 4,000 to 6,500. Higher figures circulate too: SAR 120 to 300 for an air parcel of up to 5 kg, SAR 4,800 to 7,500 for a medium home’s furniture by sea, SAR 8,500 to 17,000 for a whole home, SAR 4,200 to 6,500 for a saloon car, SAR 5,800 to 9,000 for a large car, and SAR 10,000 to 20,000 for a 20ft container. What matters is what goes into the figure.
| Factor | How it affects the price |
|---|---|
| Volume of the shipment | The basis of the charge for shared and part loads. Estimate it with the volume calculator before you ask for a price |
| Method | A container is cheapest for the large and heavy, a truck is in the middle, and an aircraft costs most per kilogram |
| Full or shared | You pay the whole hire of a private truck or container, and your share of a shared one |
| Transit charges | By land, two transit countries and a clearing agent at every border; by sea, a single port |
| The Lebanese region | The Bekaa is nearer to Masnaa and Beirut nearer to the port; distribution is added for the north and the south |
| Season | Summer and the run-up to the Eids see higher demand, and the Hajj season presses on Jeddah in particular |
How do you lower the cost?
- Compare land with sea for your own shipment: a container from Jeddah needs no long inland haulage, so it may be cheaper than you think.
- If the car and the furniture belong to one person, ask about putting both in a 40ft container.
- Finish the exemption paperwork before loading; duty paid needlessly in Lebanon is bigger than any discount.
- Choose a shared load if you have no pressing date and your volume is under half a truck.
The pricing items are explained on the pricing factors page.
What sets shipping from Jeddah to Lebanon apart?
The first difference is that the port is inside the city. The container is loaded in front of your home in the morning and enters the yard of Jeddah Islamic Port the same day or the next, without travelling hundreds of kilometres on a truck as containers from inland cities do. That makes sea freight from Jeddah a real competitor to the road, not a fallback used only when necessary. The second difference is that King Abdulaziz International Airport is in the north of the city, with direct flights to Beirut, so an urgent parcel is handed to air cargo within hours of collection.
Jeddah is also a city of seasons. During Hajj and Umrah everything changes: roads are crowded, the port and the airport work under heavier pressure, and truck movement inside the city is regulated by hours set by the traffic department. So we load within the permitted time, and send a smaller vehicle into the narrow lanes to shuttle the items to the truck. From Jeddah we collect the luggage of Lebanese Umrah and Hajj pilgrims from hotels and lodgings.
Land freight from Jeddah to Lebanon through Jordan and Syria to the Masnaa crossing

A closed truck is the fastest way to carry a home’s furniture from Jeddah to Lebanon. It is loaded once in front of your home, sealed, and heads north to Tabuk and the Halat Ammar crossing, the usual crossing for the cities of the west of the Kingdom. It enters Jordan at the Mudawwara post, climbs to Amman and the Jaber post, crosses Syria from Nassib to Jdeidet Yabous, and enters Lebanon at the Masnaa crossing in the Bekaa. The shipment is not cleared through customs in Jordan or in Syria; it passes through both in transit, and its duty is paid, or its exemption applied, in Lebanon.
| Border | Exit post → entry post | Procedure |
|---|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia – Jordan | Halat Ammar → Mudawwara | Saudi export declaration and seal check, then the Jordanian transit is opened |
| Jordan – Syria | Jaber → Nassib | The Jordanian transit is closed and the Syrian one opened |
| Syria – Lebanon | Jdeidet Yabous → Masnaa | The Syrian transit is closed, then the Lebanese declaration and inspection |
- Closed trucks: a locked box body protects the furniture from dust and rain, and its seal is opened only in the presence of customs.
- An alternative crossing: if Halat Ammar is congested the truck is diverted to the Al-Haditha crossing near Qurayyat, and we tell you before it moves.
- Crossing Syria: the entry of trucks there follows rules that change, and the load may be moved to another truck in the yard of a crossing. So we pack every piece on the assumption that it will be lifted and set down more than once.
- At Masnaa: the shipment is inspected and the list reviewed, and the presence of the owner or an agent is normally required.
Note: this road operates, but its condition is not the same every week. Depending on the state of the crossings, we confirm the available route before shipping. If we find that a land date is not dependable, we say so before collecting anything, and suggest a container from Jeddah port or an aircraft. The service is explained on the land freight page.
Sea container freight from Jeddah to Beirut port

The container leaves Jeddah Islamic Port on the Red Sea, sails north, passes through the Suez Canal into the eastern Mediterranean, and berths at Beirut port. The sailing itself takes 5 to 9 days, depending on the voyage and whether it is direct or calls at an intermediate port. With loading, clearance at both ends and delivery, the whole takes 12 to 20 days. The advantage of the sea is that there is one border between you and Lebanon, the port, so the date does not hang on three land crossings or on mountain snow.
| Type of shipment | Holds roughly | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 20ft container | The furniture of a two- to three-room flat, or a car with luggage | Starts from SAR 4,600 |
| 40ft container | A whole home’s furniture, or two cars, or light, bulky goods | Set on request |
| Part load in a shared container | Under 15 m³: a room, cartons or pallets | By the cubic metre, set on request |
- Full container: it comes to your home or warehouse in Jeddah, is loaded and closed with a numbered seal, and is opened only in Lebanon.
- Part load: we collect your shipment and consolidate it with others in a warehouse near the port, so you pay for your cubic metres only and wait for the container to fill.
- Tripoli port: an option for an address in the north when a sailing to it is available; we ask about it at booking.
- At Beirut port: a customs declaration and inspection, then the container is hauled to the address and unloaded there, or unloaded at a warehouse and distributed in smaller vehicles.
Container dimensions are on the container sizes page, the port and the lines are covered in the article international sea freight from Jeddah, and the service in general is on the sea freight page.
Land, sea or air: choose by your region in Lebanon
Lebanon is a small country, but the point of entry changes the order of delivery. A truck enters from the east at Masnaa, so it reaches the Bekaa first. A container enters from the west at Beirut port, so it reaches the capital and the coast first. An air parcel lands at Rafic Hariri Airport south of Beirut. So if the methods are equal for you in price and date, look at where your address lies:
| Your address in Lebanon | Nearest to it | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Zahle, Chtaura, Baalbek and the West Bekaa | The truck via Masnaa | Delivered before the truck climbs the mountain |
| Beirut and its suburbs | A container to Beirut port, or the truck | The port is inside the city and the airport on its edge |
| Jounieh, Jbeil, Keserwan and the Metn | A container to Beirut port | A short coastal road north of the capital |
| Tripoli, Koura and Akkar | Tripoli port if a sailing is available, otherwise Beirut port | About 85 km from Beirut |
| Sidon, Tyre and Nabatieh | A container to Beirut port, or the truck | A coastal road southwards |
A broader comparison of the methods is on the shipping methods comparison page.
Household furniture shipping from Jeddah to Lebanon: dismantling, packing and assembly
A piece of furniture leaving Jeddah for Lebanon is lifted and set down many times: from the home to the truck, perhaps from one truck to another at a crossing, or from the truck to the container and from it to the distribution vehicle, then up the stairs of a building in Beirut or a slope in a mountain village. So packing is built around the number of times a piece is handled, not the length of the road. Jeddah’s high humidity adds another condition: no wood or fabric is wrapped while damp, or it will go mouldy in the closed container.
- Dismantling: a carpenter takes apart the bedrooms, wardrobes and kitchen, numbers every panel, and puts each piece’s screws in a bag taped to it.
- Layers: thin foam on polished surfaces, then bubble wrap, then corrugated cardboard, with reinforced corners on the edges.
- Wooden crates: for marble, glass, mirrors, paintings and chandeliers, made to measure and marked with the upright side.
- Sofas and mattresses: a fabric cover, then a tight plastic wrap, and they are loaded last so that nothing is placed on top of them.
- Inventory: a numbered list matching the numbers written on the cartons, with photos before packing and after loading sent to you on WhatsApp.
- Assembly in Lebanon: we unload and reassemble what we dismantled, and take away the cardboard and plastic when we finish.
If your Lebanese home is not ready, we store the furniture packed and inventoried until you ask for it. The service is on the furniture shipping page, packing materials and methods are in the packing guide, and storage is on the storage page.
Full truck, shared load or container?
The real question is: how many cubic metres do you have, and do you have a date that cannot slip? The furniture of a three-room home roughly fills a truck or a 20ft container, so a private one makes sense. A bedroom with ten cartons does not fill a quarter of that, so a shared load is clearly cheaper. Someone claiming the exemption is better off with the shipment on its own, under a single file at clearance.
| Comparison | Shared load by land | Full truck by land | Full container by sea |
|---|---|---|---|
| You pay for | The volume of your shipment | The truck | The container |
| Time | 8–12 days | 6–9 days | 12–18 days |
| Day of departure | When the truck is full | The day you load | According to the sailing date |
| Reliability of the date | Affected by the crossings and by others | Affected by the crossings | The steadiest of the three |
| Best for | One or two rooms and cartons | A whole home in a hurry | A whole home, a car and goods |
Shipping parcels, luggage and pilgrims’ bags
A parcel to Lebanon has two ways out of Jeddah. What its owner needs urgently goes by air and arrives within a few days. What can wait is added to the shared land load at a much lower cost once the weight grows. We always ask about the contents before accepting, because what is allowed on a truck may be refused by an aircraft.
- A small parcel: starts from SAR 55 by land, and we collect it from your home or office.
- Cartons: strong and double-walled, numbered and marked with the consignee’s name and Lebanese mobile number.
- A luggage shipment: cartons, bags and personal effects start from SAR 1,650 by land.
- An Umrah or Hajj pilgrim’s luggage: we take it from the hotel or lodging before the flight and record it under the owner’s name and passport number.
- Zamzam water: not shipped as cargo; the dedicated pack travels with the passenger.
The service is on the parcel shipping page.
Shipping electronics and electrical appliances safely from Jeddah
Appliances are what suffers most in shipping when they are packed the way furniture is. A screen breaks from pressure, not from a fall; a fridge’s compressor is damaged if it travels lying down; and circuit boards are affected by static electricity and sea humidity. So each appliance has its own method, and we photograph it working before it is packed, so that no dispute remains about its condition on arrival.
- Screens and televisions: in the original carton if there is one, or between two foam sheets inside a wooden crate, and carried upright.
- Computers and phones: an anti-static bag, then foam, then a carton within a carton.
- Fridge and freezer: unplugged a day ahead and dried, carried upright, and not switched on in Lebanon until hours after being set in place.
- Voltage and frequency: the supply in Lebanon is about 220 volts. What runs on 220 volts in the Kingdom mostly works there, what runs on 110 or 127 volts needs a transformer, and the frequency differs, so check the appliance’s rating plate.
- Power equipment: transformers, stabilisers and solar panels are in demand in Lebanon because of power cuts, and batteries travel by land or sea, not by air.
Shipping commercial goods from Jeddah to Lebanon
Jeddah is the trade gateway of the west of the Kingdom, with warehouses and factories exporting dates, foodstuffs, plastic and paper products and building materials to Lebanon. A trader asks about three things: unit cost, a dependable date and sound paperwork. A full container from Jeddah port answers the first and second for most goods, and the truck remains for what the market needs urgently.
- Full or part container: full for whoever fills 20 or 40 feet, part for whoever sends a few pallets and pays for their volume.
- Certificate of origin: goods of Saudi origin benefit from the facilities of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area when their certificate is correct and authenticated.
- Invoice and packing list: in the detail the Lebanese declaration requires: item, quantity, weight and value.
- Foodstuffs and dates: a health certificate, a clear expiry date on the pack, and a refrigerated truck or container for what needs cooling, priced on request.
- The Lebanese importer: the declaration is opened in their name, so we need their commercial register and tax number before shipping.
The service is on the commercial shipping page.
Car shipping from Jeddah to Lebanon: closed container or Ro-Ro?
Before asking about the shipping method, ask: will Lebanon accept my car? The practice there is that used cars older than 8 years are not imported, and that the steering wheel must be on the left. Then ask about the charges, which are calculated on a value assessed by Lebanese customs and rise with engine size, and may approach the price of the car in some categories. After these two answers comes the shipping, which from Jeddah is basically by sea because the port is in the city.
| Comparison | Closed container | Ro-Ro vessel |
|---|---|---|
| How the car is loaded | It goes into the container and is lashed by its four wheels | It is driven up the ship’s ramp and secured on the deck uncovered |
| Availability on the Beirut line | Regular, with container ships | According to sailings; we confirm what is available before booking |
| Protection | Locked doors and a numbered seal | Inside the ship’s hold, with no box of its own |
| Belongings with the car | Possible in the same container with the furniture | The car completely empty |
| Suits | Luxury and classic cars, and whoever ships furniture with the car | An ordinary car that runs and can be driven |
| Price | A saloon car by sea from SAR 2,800 | Set on request according to the sailing |
- Before export: settling fines, surrendering the plates, and an export certificate from the traffic department. A financed car needs a letter from the finance provider.
- Before handing it to us: a quarter of a tank of fuel, no belongings inside, and photos of the body and the odometer from every side.
- Road transporter: possible through Jordan and Syria when the road allows, and its price from Jeddah is set on request.
- A temporary visit: whoever enters Lebanon with their car as a visitor, not an importer, needs the customs carnet, explained on the Triptik carnet page.
For what the Kingdom requires before a car leaves, read car shipping from Saudi Arabia; our own service is described under car shipping.
Customs in Lebanon: duties, tax and the returnee exemption
A customs declaration is opened for everything that enters Lebanon, whether it comes in through Masnaa, the port or the airport. The rule is a duty that varies by item, with value added tax on top. The exception that matters to most of our customers is the exemption for the furniture of a returning Lebanese citizen, and its conditions are met before the shipment leaves Jeddah. The table sums up current practice, and we confirm what is in force for each item before shipping because regulations change:
| Item | Current practice |
|---|---|
| Customs duty | A rate that varies by item, on a value customs accepts or assesses |
| Value added tax | 11%, and we confirm the rate in force on request |
| Who qualifies for the exemption | A Lebanese citizen who has lived abroad for more than 3 years and returned for good, once only |
| Proof of entitlement | A statement from the Lebanese embassy of the period of residence and the return, a list of contents authenticated by it, and a passport bearing the entry stamp |
| Deadline for the shipment’s arrival | Within a few months of the owner’s entry, commonly cited as three months; we verify it with the clearing agent |
| Condition of the items | Genuinely used, and not in their boxes |
| A foreigner moving to Lebanon for work | Employment contract, residence permit, work permit and housing contract, and the case is examined individually |
The duties and taxes due in Lebanon are paid by the consignee directly to customs, and are not part of the shipping price unless we agree on that in writing in the price items. The procedure is explained on the customs clearance page.
Documents required for shipping from Jeddah to Lebanon
The papers travel ahead of the shipment. By land they are read at every border, and by sea they are sent to the clearing agent in Beirut before the ship arrives so that the paperwork can begin. We ask for copies at booking, review them, and tell you what is missing before loading day, not after it:
| Shipment | What we ask for |
|---|---|
| A returning Lebanese citizen’s furniture | Passport, residence permit with the final exit visa, the embassy statement, an authenticated list of contents, and the home address in Lebanon |
| Furniture and luggage without exemption | Passport or ID, and a numbered list of contents with an approximate value for each line |
| Parcels and gifts | The sender’s ID, the consignee’s name, address and mobile number, and an honest description of the contents |
| An Umrah or Hajj pilgrim’s luggage | A copy of the passport and visa, and the delivery address in Lebanon |
| Commercial goods | Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, the exporter’s and importer’s registers, and product certificates where required |
| A car | The registration, the export certificate, the owner’s ID or passport, and the purchase invoice if available |
Each paper is detailed on the required documents page.
What may not be shipped to Lebanon and what needs a permit
Some items may not leave the Kingdom, some may not enter Lebanon, and some are allowed by land and sea but banned by air. We ask about the contents at booking so that an offending item is not discovered at a crossing, holding up everything in the truck or container with it:
| Item | Ruling |
|---|---|
| Narcotics and alcohol | Strictly prohibited |
| Weapons, ammunition and fireworks | Prohibited |
| Counterfeit goods | Seized at customs |
| Medicines | A personal quantity with a prescription; anything more with a permit from the Lebanese Ministry of Health |
| Radio and communication equipment | With a prior licence from the competent authority |
| Foodstuffs | Personal: packaged and in a reasonable quantity; commercial: with a health certificate |
| Perfumes, aerosols, gas cylinders and flammable liquids | Not carried by air, and not stacked among furniture |
| Cash, gold and original documents | Stay with their owner |
The full list is on the prohibited items page.
Delivering shipments from Jeddah in Beirut, Tripoli, Sidon, Zahle and Tyre: door to door

Door-to-door service means that we collect from inside your home in Jeddah and place the shipment inside the consignee’s home in Lebanon, and that everything in between is on us: packing, loading, the transit or the sailing, clearance and distribution. Delivery in Lebanon calls for local knowledge: old buildings with small lifts, districts a truck cannot enter, and villages on mountain roads. That is why the long journey usually ends with a small vehicle and porters carrying up the stairs.
| City or region | Distance from Beirut | What we allow for when unloading |
|---|---|---|
| Beirut and its suburbs | — | The floor, the lift and a nearby place for the vehicle to stop |
| Tripoli, El Mina and Koura | About 85 km north | The old city’s streets are narrow, so we distribute by small vehicle |
| Sidon | About 45 km south | Delivery in the city and the villages to its east |
| Zahle and Chtaura | About 55 km east | The first large city after Masnaa on the land route |
| Tyre | About 85 km south | Delivery in the city and the villages of the district |
| Jounieh and Jbeil | 20–40 km north | Buildings on slopes, and a hoist when needed |
| Aley, Baabda, the Metn and the Chouf | In the mountains above the capital | Winding roads, and a day’s margin in winter |
| Nabatieh and Baalbek | 75–90 km | We arrange the time with the consignee a day ahead |
- An appointment with the consignee: we call them the day before delivery and agree the hour and who will be at home.
- Unloading at the door of the home and inside it: we carry to the rooms, assemble what was dismantled, and put the cartons where the consignee indicates.
- Checking: the consignee counts the pieces against the numbers on the list before signing.
Whoever is bound for the capital alone will find the details of its districts and delivery in the article shipping from Jeddah to Beirut. The service in general is on the door-to-door shipping page, and the destination page is shipping to Lebanon.
Air freight from Jeddah to Lebanon

Air freight for parcels and urgent documents leaves King Abdulaziz International Airport for Rafic Hariri International Airport, and there are direct flights between the two airports of about two and a half hours. We collect the parcel from your address in Jeddah and hand it to the cargo terminal at the airport; it is cleared in Beirut and then reaches the consignee in the capital or the regions. The whole takes two to 4 days, and it is the only method that passes through neither a land crossing nor a seaport.
- What suits air: contracts and certificates, permitted medicines, phones and computers, spare parts, traders’ samples, and a bag whose owner has gone ahead of it.
- Price: from SAR 14 per kilogram for larger weights, an envelope of documents by express from SAR 83, and a small parcel is set on request according to its weight and dimensions.
- Chargeable weight: we measure the parcel and weigh it, and the greater of the two weights is paid for. Try the volumetric weight calculator to see which will be charged.
- Delivery in Beirut: at the consignee’s door, or they collect it from the airport with their ID if they want to save time.
- What the aircraft refuses: batteries not installed in their devices, perfumes in quantity, aerosols, and any liquid that burns.
The service is on the air freight page, and the office and the airport are covered in the article air freight office in Jeddah.
Collection from Jeddah’s districts and the nearby towns
We collect from the home, office or warehouse anywhere in Jeddah. In the north: Obhur, Al-Shati, Al-Mohammadiyah, Al-Naeem, Al-Salamah, Al-Rawdah and Al-Zahra. In the centre: Al-Ruwais, Al-Hamra, Al-Andalus, Al-Aziziyah, Al-Faisaliyah, Al-Safa and Al-Marwah. In the south and east: Al-Balad, Al-Samer, Al-Hamdaniyah, Kilo 14 and Al-Khumrah. The survey team visits a large home, and photos and video are enough for small shipments. We also collect from the towns served from Jeddah:
| Town | Distance from Jeddah | How it is served |
|---|---|---|
| Makkah | About 80 km | Loading within truck entry hours, and a small vehicle for the hillside districts |
| Taif | About 170 km | Collected a day ahead and added to the Jeddah truck or container |
| Thuwal and King Abdullah Economic City | 80–120 km north | On the road of the truck heading north |
| Rabigh | About 150 km north | Loaded on the way of the land trip |

Steps for shipping from Jeddah to Lebanon
It starts with a message containing photos of what you want to ship, and ends with the consignee’s signature in Lebanon. Between the two are eight steps we handle in order:
- The request: you send the photos, your district in Jeddah, the Lebanese city, and whether you are claiming the returnee exemption.
- Choosing the method: we compare land, sea and air for your volume, your date and the state of the crossings that week.
- The price: it reaches you itemised with what it covers and what it does not, along with the expected time.
- The papers: you send copies of the documents, we review them, and we set loading day once they are complete.
- Dismantling, packing and inventory: at your home, with a numbered list and photos.
- Loading and sealing: in the truck or the container, and you receive the collection receipt and the shipment number.
- The journey and clearance: crossing the borders, or sailing to Beirut port, or the flight, then the Lebanese declaration.
- Delivery: unloading, assembly and checking against the list, then signing the delivery record.
Keeping to dates, tracking, insurance and customer service
We do not promise an arrival day before we know three things: the method, the state of the crossings or the sailing date, and that your papers are complete. After that we give you a time with two limits, a lower and an upper, and tell you at once if anything arises to change it. From loading day one member of staff, whose name you know, follows your shipment and answers you in Arabic.
- Tracking: by land we notify you at every crossing the truck passes, by sea you follow the container by its number, and by air by the air waybill number. The method is on the track your shipment page.
- Insurance: optional, with a premium that is a percentage of the value you declare on the list. We recommend it for a car, a whole home and any shipment that crosses the sea or three borders. The terms are on the cargo insurance page.
- Claims: write any shortage or damage on the delivery record before signing, and send a photo of it the same day.
- Payment: by the method agreed in the price sent to you, with a receipt for every payment.
- Customer service: by call and WhatsApp from 7 am to 11 pm, every day of the week.
Shipping from Lebanon to Jeddah
The three methods work in the opposite direction too. We collect from the address in Lebanon and ship by truck from the Masnaa crossing, by container from Beirut port to Jeddah Islamic Port, or by aircraft to King Abdulaziz Airport. Imports into the Kingdom are subject to Saudi customs requirements and conformity certificates, so we ask about the item before loading it and tell you which papers it needs.
Tips before shipping from Jeddah to Lebanon
- Request the embassy statement early; issuing it and authenticating the list take time we do not control.
- Dry the fridge and the washing machine two days ahead; Jeddah’s humidity keeps water in them.
- Write on the list what is in each carton by name, not “miscellaneous items”.
- Arrange for a relative in Lebanon to attend clearance if you will arrive after the shipment.
- Ask a Lebanese clearing agent about the charges on your car before you pay to ship it.
How do you choose a shipping company from Jeddah to Lebanon?
In Jeddah there are dozens of numbers offering shipping to Lebanon, and most repeat the same phrases. You sort them with questions that someone who really works the line can answer and others stumble over:
| Question | A reassuring answer | An answer to beware of |
|---|---|---|
| Which method do you advise? | Asks about the volume, the date and the Lebanese address, then compares | “Always by land” or “always by sea” |
| When will it arrive? | A time with two limits after checking the crossings or the sailing date | A specific day given in the first call |
| What does the price cover? | Written items: packing, transport, transit, clearance, delivery | A total figure and a large percentage discount |
| Is my furniture exempt? | Asks for your papers and reviews the conditions | “There is no customs on used furniture” |
| Where is delivery? | Inside the home in your Lebanese city | “You collect from the port or the Masnaa yard” |
| Who are you? | A commercial register, a collection receipt and an address | A mobile number and a personal account |

Frequently asked questions about shipping from Jeddah to Lebanon
How much does shipping from Jeddah to Lebanon cost?
Starting prices from Jeddah: a small parcel by land SAR 55, a bedroom SAR 920, a shipment of luggage and cartons SAR 1,650, a small flat’s furniture SAR 3,700, a large flat by full truck SAR 6,000, a 20ft container to Beirut port SAR 4,600, a car by sea SAR 2,800, and a kilogram by air SAR 14. Message us on 0552803439.
How many days does a shipment take from Jeddah to Lebanon?
A full truck by land takes 6 to 9 days and a shared load 8 to 12 days. A full container by sea takes 12 to 18 days and a part load 15 to 20 days. Air takes two to 4 days. All are counted from collection in Jeddah to delivery in Lebanon.
Which is better to Lebanon from Jeddah: road or sea?
Road is faster and carries furniture door to door with a single loading, but it crosses three borders and depends on their condition. Sea is a few days slower, its date is steadier, and it suits a car and heavy goods best. And Jeddah’s port is inside the city, so the container carries no long inland haulage.
What route does the truck take from Jeddah to Lebanon?
North to Tabuk and the Halat Ammar crossing, into Jordan at Mudawwara and out at Jaber, then through Syria from Nassib to Jdeidet Yabous, entering Lebanon at the Masnaa crossing in the Bekaa. Depending on the state of the crossings, we confirm the available route before shipping.
Do you ship to Lebanese cities other than Beirut?
Yes. We deliver in Tripoli, Akkar and Koura in the north, Sidon, Tyre and Nabatieh in the south, Zahle, Chtaura and Baalbek in the Bekaa, and Jounieh, Jbeil, Aley and the Chouf in Mount Lebanon. Delivery is to the door of the home in all these areas.
Is my furniture exempt from customs in Lebanon?
Used furniture is dutiable as a rule. The practice is to exempt the furniture of a Lebanese citizen who has lived outside the country for more than 3 years and returned for good, once only, on a statement from the Lebanese embassy and an authenticated list of contents, provided the shipment arrives within a set period of the date of entry. We review your papers before loading.
Can my car be shipped from Jeddah to Lebanon?
Yes, in a container from Jeddah Islamic Port to Beirut port, with a saloon car starting from SAR 2,800. The practice in Lebanon is that a used car must be no older than 8 years, so check the year of manufacture before anything else, and we confirm the rule in force before shipping.
Is the car shipped on a roll-on/roll-off vessel or in a container?
A container is the method regularly available on the Jeddah–Beirut line; the car is lashed by its wheels and the doors are locked on it. Roll-on/roll-off vessels are used when a suitable sailing to Beirut port is available, and on them the car is driven onto the deck uncovered. We tell you what is available in the week of your request.
How much is air freight from Jeddah to Beirut?
It starts from SAR 14 per kilogram for larger weights, and an envelope of documents by express from SAR 83. A parcel is charged on the greater of its actual weight and its volumetric weight. The time is two to 4 days to the consignee’s hand.
Which papers do I need?
For furniture and luggage: passport, residence permit and a numbered list of contents, plus the embassy statement if you are claiming the exemption. For goods: a commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. For a car: the registration, the export certificate and the owner’s ID.
Do you collect from the home in Jeddah?
Yes, from every district of Jeddah, north, south and centre, and from Makkah, Taif, Rabigh, Thuwal and the nearby towns. The crew arrives with the packing materials, dismantles, packs, inventories and loads.
Do you ship the luggage of Lebanese Umrah and Hajj pilgrims?
Yes. We collect excess bags and cartons from the hotel or lodging in Jeddah before the owner flies, and send them by air if they are few or by land with the shared load if they are many. Zamzam water is not shipped as cargo; its dedicated pack travels with the passenger on the flight.
Do Saudi electrical appliances work in Lebanon?
The supply in Lebanon is about 220 volts, so appliances that run on 220 volts in the Kingdom mostly work there. Older appliances on 110 or 127 volts need a transformer. The grid frequency differs between the two countries, so check the rating plate of any appliance with a motor before shipping it.
What may not be shipped to Lebanon?
Weapons, ammunition, fireworks, narcotics and counterfeits. Medicines beyond a personal quantity need a permit from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, and radio equipment needs a licence. Flammable liquids and gas cylinders are not loaded with furniture.
Do you ship from Lebanon to Jeddah?
Yes. We collect from the address in Lebanon and ship by land from the Masnaa crossing, by sea from Beirut port to Jeddah Islamic Port, or by air to King Abdulaziz Airport, and deliver in any district of Jeddah after clearance.
