Furniture moving company in Tabuk: what do you get?

You get a move handled by one crew from start to finish. The carpenter who takes the wardrobe apart is the one who puts it back together, and the worker who numbered the carton knows which room is waiting for it. Nothing goes missing between two parties, and nobody passes the blame on arrival. You carry no long plank of wood and no heavy appliance you would not know how to grip.

Tabuk is a flat city with wide streets in most of its districts, so the difficulty does not lie in the road. It lies in the cold and the dust, and in how far the city is from everywhere else when the move goes beyond it. The table sums up the service before the detail.

Question Short answer
Where does the service operate? The districts and outskirts of Tabuk, the region’s governorates and every Saudi city
What does it include? Inventory, dismantling, packing, numbering, loading, transport, unloading, assembly
With what vehicle? A closed truck sized to the furniture, and a hoist when needed
How long for a flat inside the city? One day in most cases
Where does the price start? SAR 460 for a room or a few pieces
How do I book? In advance on 0552803439, from 7 am to 11 pm

Who moves furniture in Tabuk?

Tabuk is the capital of a vast border region, and its residents move more than a visitor would guess. It has military and government staff who arrive and leave by transfer order, a university that draws students from the governorates, and major projects on the coast whose employees live in the city. It also has residents from Jordan and Egypt who return home with years of furniture.

Who What they move The service that fits
An employee or serviceman who has been transferred A whole home to a distant city A dedicated truck and packing that withstands a long road
A family changing district The furniture of a flat, a floor or a villa A dismantling and assembly crew that finishes the same day
A student, or a teacher posted to a governorate A bedroom, a desk and cartons A small truck and two workers
An employee of a coastal project Household furniture between Tabuk and Duba or Al-Bad A one-day move between the city and the governorate
The owner of a farm or rest house Seating sets, appliances and a traditional tent Loading on the outskirts and over dirt tracks
A resident returning home Furniture, appliances and belongings Export packing and land or air freight

Before dismantling: the details we ask you for

A successful move is settled before moving day with a few pieces of information. We ask for two photos of each room, one of the wardrobes standing open, and the map location of both homes. Then we ask four questions about each home: which floor it is on, whether the building has a lift that takes furniture, how much clear space there is in front of the door for the truck, and whether the flat has a balcony or a wide window facing the street.

The last question sounds odd, but it decides whether a hoist is needed. A piece that will not turn on the stairs leaves by the balcony, and a balcony overlooking an inner light well is no use. From these answers the number of workers, the truck size and the duration are fixed, and you receive one price that lists its items. A large villa may need a visit, agreed at booking.

Stage one: dismantling and packing furniture in Tabuk homes

The day begins with a short tour of the home before anything is touched. The supervisor inspects the pieces, records any old scratch or break, and wipes off the dust, because a piece wrapped dirty gets scratched under the plastic. Then the work is shared out: a carpenter for the wooden rooms, two workers for packing, and another gathering small items into cartons.

Dismantling and packing furniture in Tabuk homes

The carpenter takes a room apart in the reverse order of its assembly and writes a number on the back of each panel with a marker that does not show from the front. Screws, hinges and fixings go into a small bag tied to the panel they came from, so nobody hunts for them at assembly. Majlis seating has its back and arm cushions separated from the bases and each piece covered on its own, because fabric rubbing on fabric on the road leaves a mark.

Place What the carpenter dismantles How it is packed and numbered
Majlis Sectional sofas, cushions, coffee tables Plastic wrap then a blanket, and a number on each base and its cushion
Bedroom Wardrobe, bed, dressing table Numbers on the back of the panels and corrugated card on the edges
Kitchen Wall and base cabinets once emptied Doors and shelves numbered, drawers held with tape
Children’s room Bunk beds and desks A bag of screws on each bed and light cartons for books
Dining room Table legs and top A glass top between two foam sheets, carried upright
Storeroom and roof Steel shelving and storage cabinets Uprights tied in bundles, cartons marked with their contents

Anyone who wants to prepare some cartons before the crew arrives will find the steps in the article on packing furniture for a move, and packing materials and carton sizes in the packing guide.

Fragile pieces: glass, china, chandeliers and pictures

These pieces take more packing time than a wardrobe, and they deserve it. Every cup and plate is wrapped in bubble wrap or white paper, then set in a strong carton with a padded base. The gaps are filled with paper until the carton makes no sound when shaken. It is then sealed and marked on its face with its contents and the word “glass”, so the carrier knows to place it on top of the load, not underneath.

Antiques and table lamps have their shades separated from their bases, and each is wrapped alone. A chandelier has its hanging pieces removed into small bags and its frame braced in a box. Pictures and mirrors have their corners protected first, then the face covered with flat card, and they travel upright on their edge between the mattresses.

Piece What damages it How it is protected
China sets and cups Pieces knocking together Individual wrapping, tight packing and a padded base
Ornaments and antiques Falling, and the weight of what lies above Bubble wrap and a small carton with nothing loaded on it
Chandeliers Hanging pieces tangling Removal into bags, and a box for the frame
Table lamps A dented shade The shade removed and carried in its own carton
Pictures and mirrors Broken corners and a scratched face Card corners and carrying on the edge

Clothes, bedding, curtains and carpets

Fabric does not break, but it gets dirty and soaks up dust, and Tabuk’s dust on windy days is fine enough to enter through the smallest gap. Clothes, blankets and quilts therefore go into tightly sealed bags, and hanging clothes stay on their hangers in tall cartons. Mattresses go into covers of their own size, so they touch neither the truck floor nor the carriers’ hands.

Curtains are taken down gently so their rings do not tear, folded with their rods or rolled around them, and each roll is marked with its room. Carpets are shaken out, rolled lengthwise, tied in three places and then covered. Tabuk homes have plenty of heavy winter bedding and floor seating, which is compressed into large bags that save half its space in the truck.

Electrical appliances, air conditioners and heaters

A heavy appliance needs someone who knows where to lift it. A fridge is raised by its base, not its door, and stays upright on the road. A washing machine has its drum locked with the transit bolts so it does not shake. A screen is never pressed in the middle with a finger. Appliances are therefore unplugged well before packing, so the fridge dries, the oven cools and the washing machine is drained.

Tabuk’s winter adds appliances you do not find in the coastal cities: kerosene, gas and oil heaters, and water heaters. These are emptied of fuel and water before loading, and gas cylinders travel separately and closed. A split air conditioner is handled by a refrigeration technician, who pumps the gas down into the outdoor unit, then removes the pipes and caps their ends against dust.

Appliance Preparation in the old home What is done in the new home
Fridge and freezer Unplugged, dried, doors tied Left standing a few hours, then switched on
Washing machine and dryer Drum locked and water drained Lock removed, water and drain connected
Oven and cooker Gas shut off, grates and burners removed Connected and leak-tested with soapy water
Split air conditioner Gas pumped down, pipes removed and capped Mounted, connected and tested for cooling
Heaters and water heaters Fuel and water emptied Refilled and run once ventilation is checked
Screens and computers Padded carton, carried upright Hung or set on the table and connected

Stage two: loading and lifting furniture onto the truck in Tabuk

Loading is about order before it is about carrying. Flat panels and mattresses enter the truck first and stand against the two sides of the box, then heavy appliances near the cab, then the dismantled wardrobes, with cartons filling the gaps. The last things in are the first you need on arrival: the carpets laid before the furniture, and the first-night carton.

Loading and lifting furniture onto the truck in Tabuk

After each row the straps are tightened on the rings of the box, so the load neither leans in a turn nor surges under braking. Blankets go between wooden pieces so that no face rubs against another. A closed truck here is a necessity, not a luxury: a dust-laden wind or a winter shower is enough to ruin an uncovered sofa over a ten-minute trip.

Coming down from a floor has two routes. The lift, if it is big enough, with its walls lined with card before use. Or the stairs, where a piece is carried on shoulder straps with one worker ahead protecting the corners of the wall. Whatever fits neither leaves by the balcony on the hoist.

The hoist for upper floors: when is it needed and how does it work?

The hoist, or winch as people call it, is not for every move. Most residential buildings in Tabuk have two to four storeys, and much of their furniture comes down the stairs once dismantled. But it becomes the only answer when a piece is wider than the landing or longer than the turn. The hoist stands beneath the balcony, the wrapped piece is tied with wide straps at two points, and one worker guides it from above and another from below until it settles in the truck.

Hoisting is agreed before moving day, since it needs room for the hoist to stand, a façade clear of power lines, and sometimes a balcony whose railing is removed or a window whose frame is taken out. Nothing is lifted in a strong wind, so this step is put back a few hours if one blows.

Case Is a hoist needed? Alternative or condition
A wardrobe that comes apart into panels No It goes down the stairs panel by panel
A one-piece cabinet or a massive desk Usually yes A balcony on the street and room for the hoist
A double-door fridge on a third floor with no lift Depends on the stair width Removing the doors may be enough
A corner sofa that does not separate Yes, if the turn is tight The stairs measured from photos first
A steel safe or a piano Yes A prior inspection and special straps

Which truck is enough for your furniture?

A truck bigger than you need means paying for its empty space, and a smaller one forces two trips. The size is therefore chosen from the list of pieces, not by guesswork. As a rough rule, one room with its furniture and cartons fills a small truck, a medium flat needs a medium closed truck, and a villa is split over a large truck or over two trips.

Volume of furniture Suitable vehicle Note
A few pieces or one room Small closed truck Enters inner streets and stops at the door
A two- to three-room flat Medium closed truck One trip in most cases
A large flat or a floor Large closed truck We ask about a space that takes it
A villa A large truck with a support truck, or two trips Depending on the distance between the homes
A move to another city A closed truck fit for the long road Tighter loading and more straps

The driver is part of the load’s safety. The region’s roads run for long open stretches, and on the edge of the city dirt tracks lead to the farms, where the pace is eased so the cartons of glass do not rattle.

Stage three: delivering and assembling furniture in the districts of Tabuk

In the new home, planning comes before unloading. The supervisor walks the rooms with you, you tell him where the wardrobe stands and which way the bed faces, and the corridors are covered to protect the floor. Then the pieces go by number straight to their rooms. The carpenter rebuilds the panels according to the numbering, fastens them and adjusts doors and drawers until they slide without rubbing.

Delivering and assembling furniture in the districts of Tabuk

If the new room differs in shape or size from the old one, the pieces are rearranged to suit it, under your direction. Then comes the electrical work: appliances are connected in their places and tried in front of you, with the washing machine run through a short cycle and the air conditioner switched on for a few minutes. The crew does not leave before collecting the leftover card and plastic.

The service reaches every district of Tabuk. Al-Muruj and Al-Wurud in the north of the city are among the most requested, with As-Sulaymaniyah and Sultanah beside them. Al-Faisaliyah and Ar-Rawdah are established residential districts with many apartment buildings and floors. The table shows what we allow for in each group.

Districts Type of buildings What we allow for when unloading and assembling
Al-Muruj and Al-Wurud Villas, flats and modern subdivisions in the north of the city Wide streets where a large truck can stop, and villas with internal stairs
As-Sulaymaniyah and Sultanah Two districts adjoining Al-Wurud to the west and south Apartment buildings and floors; we ask about the lift and the stair width
Al-Faisaliyah (North and South) and Ar-Rawdah Established residential districts with buildings and houses Parking is crowded in the evening, so daytime unloading is easier
Al-Manshiyah Al-Qadimah and the old centre Among the oldest built-up parts of the city Some streets are narrower and a small truck may be needed
Al-Masif, Al-Ulaya, Al-Muntazah and An-Nahdah Mixed residential districts of flats and villas We ask for a photo of the entrance and stairs before fixing the crew
Ar-Rayyan, Ar-Rabiyah, Qurtubah and Al-Basatin Residential subdivisions and new houses Homes occupied for the first time, so we check power and water

Furniture moving prices in Tabuk

The price is made up of three things: the volume moved, what is dismantled and refitted, and the conditions at the two homes. The figures below are the starting point of each category inside the city, and they include the truck and the workers. Anything above them is stated to you before booking and written into its confirmation, so moving day brings no charge that was not agreed.

Service Price starts from What it covers
A room or a few pieces SAR 460 Small truck and two workers
A two- to three-room flat SAR 550 Transport with basic dismantling and assembly
A large flat or a floor SAR 920 A larger closed truck and a bigger crew
A four- to five-room flat with full packing SAR 1,380 Every piece packed and numbered
A villa SAR 2,150 Two trucks or two trips
Dismantling and reassembling a bedroom SAR 275 A carpenter, without transport
Dismantling a kitchen SAR 640 Refitting depends on the size of the new space
Hoisting, moves to governorates and cities, and storage Set on request After photos and the distance are known

Prices circulating in the market: we looked for what is published about Tabuk and found no figures to rely on. Classified adverts for furniture moving there carry no price, and one page advertises a discount of 20% to 30% without stating the amount it is taken from. In other cities a Dyna pickup with its driver is offered at SAR 100 to 400 per trip, which is the price of a trip in an open box, not of dismantling, packing and assembly. Ask every mover for a list of what the figure covers before you compare.

What changes the price Why
Quantity of furniture It sets the truck size and whether one trip is enough
Floor and lift Each floor without a lift adds workers and working hours
Need for a hoist Extra equipment charged separately
What is dismantled and refitted Kitchens, air conditioners and large wardrobes have their own technicians
Level of packing Full packing uses more materials and time
Location of the two homes Farms, outskirts and governorates are farther than the districts
Time of booking The end of the school year and transfer seasons are busier

You can bring the cost down without gambling with your furniture:

  • Book well ahead of your date; a late booking narrows the options.
  • Sell or donate whatever will not enter the new home before the inventory.
  • Pack clothes and books yourself and leave fragile items and woodwork to the crew.
  • Empty the kitchen and wardrobes before the carpenter arrives; time is charged.
  • Choose a midweek day if your date is flexible.

How long does a move within Tabuk take?

The city’s distances are not great, and getting from one district to another takes minutes. The day goes on the work inside the two homes. We make sure dismantling starts early so the bed is assembled before night, which is what a home with children needs most. The durations below are for a home whose furniture is dismantled and refitted the same day.

Move Approximate duration What adds to it
A few pieces or one room Two to 3 hours An upper floor with no lift
A two- to three-room flat 4–6 hours A kitchen to dismantle and air conditioners
A large flat or a floor A full working day Many wardrobes and ornaments
A villa One to two days Several floors and hoisting
A farm or rest house on the outskirts Travel time is added Dirt tracks and distance

What is particular to Tabuk: cold, dust and long distances

Tabuk sits on a high plateau in the north-west of the Kingdom, and its climate is harder on furniture than the coast’s at both extremes. In winter the temperature drops at night until it nears zero, and snow falls on Jabal al-Lawz in the west of the region. In summer daytime temperatures reach forty degrees. Wood left in an open box under the midday sun and then brought into an air-conditioned home expands and contracts, and its veneer may crack.

The working hours therefore shift with the season. In winter we start once the morning has warmed a little, and we watch for rain. In summer we start at dawn and finish loading before midday. On days of wind and dust the covers are sealed and pieces spend as little time as possible outside the house. The traffic authorities regulate the entry of large trucks to some roads at certain times, and we confirm what applies before loading day.

Distance is the second difference. The nearest large city to Tabuk is hundreds of kilometres away, so a move beyond it is not a trip to repeat if something is forgotten. Anyone living in a gated residential compound needs an entry permit for the truck and the workers, which the resident obtains before the appointed day.

Moving furniture from Tabuk to the governorates of the region

The Tabuk region is vast and has six governorates: Duba, Al-Wajh and Umluj on the Red Sea, Haql on the Gulf of Aqaba, Al-Bad between them, and Tayma inland. Movement between them and the city never stops: a teacher posted to a governorate, an employee on a coastal project, a family returning to Tabuk for the university. Most of the Tabuk–Duba road is now a dual carriageway, so a truck covers it more safely than before.

Governorate Approximate distance from Tabuk Note for the move
Duba About 180 km Mostly dual carriageway; a move finished the same day
Tayma About 265 km On the Madinah road, sometimes combined with a move there
Haql More than 200 km A road descending to the Gulf of Aqaba; the load is strapped for it
Al-Bad Worked out by address Close to the coastal projects; we ask about entry permits
Al-Wajh Worked out by address A coastal road beyond Duba; a long one-day move
Umluj Worked out by address The farthest governorate to the south; delivery sometimes the next day

The price of a move to the governorates is set on request, because half of it is distance and half is volume. Anyone with few belongings can ask about a shared load that groups them with others on the same line, paying for their space and waiting for the truck to fill.

Moving furniture from Tabuk to other Saudi cities

The Kingdom’s longest moves begin or end in Tabuk. The difference from a move inside the city is first of all in the packing: corrugated card on the edges of the wood, more straps, and no gap left in the box. A dedicated truck leaves straight after loading and opens its doors only at your new home. Distances are approximate, and the time is for a loaded truck.

Destination Approximate distance Loaded-truck time Furniture arrives
Madinah 620–700 km depending on the road 8–9 hours The same day at night, or the next
Hail About 650 km 8–9 hours The next day
Jeddah and Makkah About 1,000 km along the coastal road 12–14 hours The next day
Qassim Worked out by city A day’s driving The next day or the one after
Riyadh About 1,300 km or more About a day and a half Within two days
Dammam and Khobar About 1,700 km About two days Within two to 3 days

The price between cities is set on request according to volume and distance. Loose cartons travel in a shared load: a carton up to 20 kg starts from SAR 87 and a parcel up to 5 kg from SAR 32, as in the article on domestic shipping in Saudi Arabia. Anyone heading for a particular city will find what applies on arrival in furniture moving company in Madinah, furniture moving company in Jeddah and moving furniture in Riyadh.

Car transport from and to Tabuk

Driving a thousand kilometres behind the furniture truck is tiring, and driving two cars is worse. People transferred from or to Tabuk therefore ask for the car to go on a car carrier. The car is handed over clean with a quarter tank of fuel, photographed from all four sides with its odometer, and the bodywork notes are written in a report both parties sign. It is then secured by its wheels on the carrier.

The price of moving a car from Tabuk is set on request according to the city and the type of carrier, open with several cars or enclosed for a single one. Anyone returning to Jordan or the Gulf with their car will find the conditions and documents on the car shipping page.

Storing furniture until the home is ready

The date for vacating the old home often comes before the new one is ready: finishing work not yet done, paint not yet dry, or a home in another city not yet handed over. Furniture then needs a clean closed space, not a roof or a yard where dust and sun eat into it. It is stored packed as it left the house, with a photographed list of its pieces and cartons.

Storage with us is arranged on request, and its price is set on request according to volume and duration. We say it frankly: our closed warehouse is in Jeddah, not in Tabuk. It is a practical answer for someone relocating to the west of the Kingdom, or shipping furniture abroad and wanting it kept until the travel date. With anyone waiting for a home inside Tabuk we discuss the best option before they book. General storage terms are on the storage page.

Moving offices, shops and farms

An office is moved while work is stopped, so every hour has a cost. Everything is therefore prepared before moving day: a number for each desk, chair and filing cabinet that matches a number on the plan of the new premises, and file cartons sealed with tape and handed to the person responsible. Printers and computers have their cables removed and gathered in a bag carrying the device’s number. The move is done in the evening or at the weekend.

A shop is moved with its stock, which is counted on the shelves before packing, and the shelving and glass fronts are dismantled last. Around Tabuk there are many farms and rest houses, and moving them is different: outdoor seating, tanks, light equipment and traditional tents. The road to them is sometimes a dirt track, so we ask about its condition and send a vehicle that suits it.

Moving from Tabuk to other countries: by land and sea

Tabuk is the nearest of the Kingdom’s large cities to Jordan and to the northern Red Sea ports, which makes shipping returnees’ furniture from it easier than people assume. The Halat Ammar crossing is about 100 km north of the city, and closed trucks pass through it to Mudawwara and then Amman. Duba port is about 180 km to the west, and from it the loaded truck boards the ferry to the Egyptian ports, where inspection and clearance take place before distribution to the governorates.

The Gulf states are reached by closed trucks overland across the centre and east of the Kingdom. Containers to Turkey, Europe and North Africa leave from Jeddah Islamic Port, so the furniture is carried there in export packing. In every case a detailed list of contents is prepared, because customs in the destination country ask for it. Exemption rules for returnees change, so we confirm what is in force before shipping.

Destination Method Route of the shipment from Tabuk Price starts from
Jordan Land, closed truck Halat Ammar crossing, about 100 km A carton SAR 140; furniture set on request
Egypt Truck on the ferry Duba port, about 180 km A carton SAR 140; a bedroom SAR 1,650
Gulf states Land, closed truck Across the centre of the Kingdom to the eastern crossings A carton SAR 140; furniture set on request
Turkey, Europe and North Africa Sea, in a container Truck to Jeddah Islamic Port Set on request

Each destination is detailed in shipping from Saudi Arabia to Jordan and land freight from Saudi Arabia to Egypt, and returnees’ furniture and its exemptions in international furniture shipping company from Saudi Arabia. For containers see the sea freight page.

Air freight for furniture and belongings from Tabuk to destinations abroad

Air freight is for urgent pieces and belongings, not for the furniture of a whole home. The price is per kilogram, and on the scales a wardrobe costs more than it is worth. But someone returning home needs some of their things before the truck arrives: bags beyond the ticket allowance, cartons of clothes and books, a small appliance, papers and documents. These go ahead of them or follow by plane within days.

Air freight for furniture and belongings from Tabuk to destinations abroad

Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport lies at the city, a few kilometres from its centre. Direct international flights leave it for destinations such as Cairo, Dubai and Sharjah, and schedules change from season to season. If there is a flight that suits your shipment’s destination and size, it travels via Tabuk airport. If there is none, or the piece is larger than the flight accepts, it is carried to King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah or King Khalid Airport in Riyadh and flies from there.

We collect the shipment from your home in either case and tell you the airport before booking. The weight charged is the greater of actual and volumetric, which you can work out with the volumetric weight calculator; the remaining details are on the air freight page.

Where to Price starts from Approximate time to the door
Gulf states SAR 14 per kilogram 1–3 days
Europe SAR 23 per kilogram 3–7 days
United Kingdom SAR 26 per kilogram 3–7 days
North and West Africa SAR 28 per kilogram 4–8 days
United States SAR 41 per kilogram 5–9 days
Documents to destinations abroad SAR 83 Depends on the destination

Responsibility for the furniture, and insurance

Anyone handing their home to a moving crew wants to know who bears a mistake. Our answer is written, not spoken: the crew is responsible for what it dismantles, packs and carries, under the terms recorded in the booking confirmation. We promise no percentage or period outside those terms. To keep responsibility clear, valuable pieces are photographed before packing, any earlier defect is noted, and the list is gone over with you after assembly.

Cargo insurance is a separate matter; it is optional and offered on request. We consider it important for moves of several hundred kilometres and for pieces that money cannot replace, and it is explained on the cargo insurance page. Whatever is too precious to insure, such as gold, documents and family photographs, stays with you in your car.

Booking steps

  1. Message us on WhatsApp 0552803439 with photos of the rooms and the location of both homes.
  2. Answer the questions on floor, lift, parking and balcony.
  3. Receive the price itemised, with the truck size.
  4. Set the date and receive the booking confirmation with its terms.
  5. The crew arrives on time and starts with the inspection, then dismantling and packing.
  6. The truck is loaded and the load strapped, and you sign the list of pieces.
  7. The pieces are unloaded and assembled, and the appliances tried in front of you.
  8. Check the list with the supervisor, then pay the balance.

What to prepare before moving day

  • Unplug the fridge and freezer the night before, and empty the heaters of fuel.
  • Empty the kitchen cabinets and wardrobes; a full wardrobe cannot be dismantled.
  • Set aside what stays with you: gold, passports, medicines and chargers.
  • Prepare a first-night carton with bedding, cups and a kettle.
  • Obtain the truck’s entry permit if you live in a gated compound.
  • Make sure power and water are running in the new home.
  • Watch the weather forecast; dust or rain may delay the start.

How do you choose a furniture moving company in Tabuk?

The figures in adverts are close together, and the difference shows when the truck door opens. So do not ask a mover about the price first; ask what they will do, and listen to what they ask you. One who enquires about the floor, the balcony and the number of wardrobes is building the price on real work. One who answers with a figure in seconds will change it at the door.

Frequently asked questions about a furniture moving company in Tabuk

What exactly does a furniture moving company in Tabuk do?

It takes the home in three stages. In the first, a carpenter dismantles the bedrooms, wardrobes and kitchen, and everything is packed and numbered. In the second, the pieces are loaded into a closed truck and strapped down, and hoisted if they will not pass the stairs. In the third, they are unloaded in the new home and assembled in their rooms. The service covers the districts of Tabuk, the governorates of the region and the other Saudi cities.

How much does it cost to move furniture within Tabuk?

Our smallest job, one room or a handful of pieces, starts from SAR 460. If the home is a flat of two or three rooms the starting point is SAR 550, rising to SAR 920 for a whole floor or a large flat. Full packing for a flat of four or five rooms begins at SAR 1,380, and a villa at SAR 2,150. The figure is then adjusted for stairs, lift, hoisting and how much the carpenter has to take apart, and it reaches you once we have photos of the rooms on 0552803439.

Your establishment is in Jeddah, so how do you serve Tabuk?

By advance booking, and we say so plainly. Home Safe is an establishment registered in Jeddah, Tabuk is about a thousand kilometres away, and we claim no branch, warehouse or resident crew there. The crew and the truck are arranged for your moving date once the booking is confirmed. That is why we ask you to contact us well before the date, and we do not promise a same-day move.

Do you use a hoist to bring furniture down from upper floors?

Yes, when it is needed. If a piece is wider than the staircase or the flat door, such as a wardrobe that cannot be dismantled, a double-door fridge or a corner sofa, it is lowered from the balcony or the window by hoist. Beforehand we ask about balconies facing the street, the space in front of the house and any nearby power lines. The hoisting price is set on request after a photo of the façade.

Which districts of Tabuk do you reach?

Every district of the city: Al-Muruj, Al-Wurud, As-Sulaymaniyah and Sultanah in the north; both parts of Al-Faisaliyah and Ar-Rawdah; Al-Masif, Al-Ulaya, Al-Muntazah and An-Nahdah; Al-Manshiyah Al-Qadimah in the old centre; and the Ar-Rayyan, Ar-Rabiyah, Qurtubah and Al-Basatin subdivisions. We also reach the farms and rest houses on the edge of the city, with travel time allowed according to how far out they are.

How long does it take to move a flat within Tabuk?

A two- to three-room flat is usually finished in one day, between 4 and 6 hours from the first screw to the last fitting. A single room takes two to three hours and a villa one to two days. Distances between Tabuk’s districts are short, so what lengthens the day is the number of wardrobes, the kitchen, the air conditioners and the stairs, not the road between the two homes.

Do you move a single piece or just one bedroom?

Yes. A fridge, a washing machine or a single bedroom is moved with the same care, and the smallest job inside the city starts from SAR 460. If all you need is a carpenter without transport, dismantling and reassembling a bedroom starts from SAR 275. That suits someone who has bought a used bedroom, or a parent moving a student into lodgings near the university.

Do you move furniture from Tabuk to Duba, Haql, Tayma and Umluj?

Yes, to every governorate of the region: Duba at about 180 km, Tayma at about 265 km, Haql at more than 200 km, then Al-Wajh, Umluj and Al-Bad. These are mostly one-day moves on a dedicated truck that leaves in the morning. The price is set on request according to the volume of furniture, the distance and whether the crew returns the same day.

How far is Tabuk from Madinah, Riyadh and Jeddah for a furniture truck?

Madinah is between 620 and 700 km away depending on the road, and a loaded truck reaches it in 8 to 9 hours. Jeddah is about 1,000 km away along the coastal road, so the furniture arrives the next day. Riyadh is about 1,300 km or more, a two-day trip. The figures are approximate, and a loaded truck takes longer than a light car.

Do you dismantle and refit air conditioners and kitchens?

Yes. A split unit is removed by a refrigeration technician who pumps the gas down into the outdoor unit and then disconnects the pipes, and who refits and tests it in the new home. A kitchen is emptied first, then its cabinets are taken apart with doors and shelves numbered; dismantling one starts from SAR 640. Any piping, gas top-up or resizing is charged according to the new home.

Do Tabuk’s cold and dust affect the move?

They affect timing and packing. Winter in Tabuk is cold and night temperatures can approach zero, so we start once the morning has warmed a little and protect the pieces from rain with plastic sheeting. In summer we start at dawn before the heat builds. On windy days the dust rises, so cartons are taped on every side and mattresses and sofas go into full covers.

Do you offer furniture storage until the finishing work is done?

Storage is arranged on request, and its price is set on request according to volume and duration. We claim no warehouse of our own in Tabuk: our closed warehouse is in Jeddah, which suits anyone relocating to the western region or shipping furniture abroad from Jeddah port. For someone waiting for a home in Tabuk itself, we discuss the nearest solution before booking.

Do you ship furniture from Tabuk to Jordan and Egypt?

Yes. Jordan is the nearest destination: the Halat Ammar crossing lies about 100 km north of Tabuk, and closed trucks pass through it to Amman and the other governorates. Egypt is served by truck to Duba port, about 180 km away, where the truck boards the ferry to the Egyptian ports. A carton starts from SAR 140, and a bedroom to Egypt from SAR 1,650.

How much is air freight from Tabuk to destinations abroad?

The price is per kilogram and varies by destination. The Gulf states are nearest and begin at SAR 14, followed by Europe at SAR 23 and the United Kingdom at SAR 26. North and West Africa begin at SAR 28, and the United States, the farthest, at SAR 41. A documents envelope starts from SAR 83. The shipment leaves via Tabuk airport if one of its international flights matches the destination and size; if not, we carry it to Jeddah or Riyadh airport.

Who is responsible if a piece is damaged?

The crew is responsible for what it dismantles, packs and carries with its own hands, under the terms recorded in the booking confirmation. That is why we photograph the pieces and note their existing defects before packing, and go over them with you after assembly. We quote no percentages or periods beyond what the confirmation states. Cargo insurance is optional and offered on request, and we recommend it for long moves between cities.
