What does a domestic shipping company in Saudi Arabia offer?
Domestic shipping means moving a shipment from one Saudi city to another, with no border and no customs. It sounds simple, but the Kingdom is vast: Dammam and Jeddah are about 1,350 km apart, and Riyadh and Tabuk about 1,300 km. So a shipment spends one or two full days on the road, and needs packing and securing that suit that distance.
What we provide is a connected chain, not just a vehicle. We collect from the address, measure and weigh, pack whatever needs packing, and label every piece with the shipment number and the arrival city. It is then loaded into a closed truck to the consignee’s city, and there it goes out on a delivery van to their door. The sender follows all of this with one number, and never has to carry anything to an office or pick it up from a warehouse.
The address-to-address service is explained on the door-to-door shipping page.
Who ships between Saudi cities, and what do they ship?
Most of those who contact us are one of six: an employee transferred to another city, a university student, a family sending things to relatives, an online shop, a wholesaler, and a car owner. Each differs in volume and urgency, so the method we recommend differs too:
| Shipper | What they usually send | What suits them |
|---|---|---|
| An employee moving to another city | The furniture of a flat or a whole house, with appliances | A dedicated truck with dismantling and assembly |
| A student or single employee | Suitcases, cartons of books and clothes, small appliances | A shared load, priced per carton |
| A family sending to relatives | Cartons, gifts, a piece of furniture or an appliance | Shared, priced per piece, delivered to the door |
| An online shop | Parcels for customers in several cities | Regular collection and sorting by city |
| A wholesaler or factory | Pallets of goods for a branch or a distributor | Shared by the pallet, or a full trailer |
| A car owner | A car bought in another city, or one they are relocating with | A shared or enclosed car carrier |
Domestic shipping methods: which suits your shipment?
Four methods cover everything that moves between Saudi cities. Volume chooses among the first three, and urgency alone chooses the fourth. The common mistake is asking for express on a shipment that is in no hurry, or booking a full truck for ten cartons:
| Method | How it works | Suits | Usual time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared load | Shipments for one city are gathered in a closed truck that leaves when full | Parcels, cartons, furniture pieces, a few pallets | 2–7 days |
| Dedicated truck | A vehicle booked for your shipment from address to address | A whole home, goods that fill the box, a fixed date | Same day to 3 days |
| Car carrier | The car is lifted on and secured by its wheels | Cars and motorcycles | 1–4 days |
| Domestic air freight | Collection from the door, a flight between two airports, then distribution | Urgent documents and light parcels | 1–2 days |
Trucking in general, inside the Kingdom and to neighbouring countries, is explained on the land freight page.
Transit times between the main Saudi cities
The time follows two things: the distance, and whether your shipment waits for others. A dedicated truck waits for no one, so its time is the road and the loading. A shared one adds one to three days until it fills, then a day for sorting and distribution in the arrival city. The table shows door-to-door time on the most requested lines:
| Line | Approximate distance | Dedicated truck | Shared load |
|---|---|---|---|
| Riyadh ↔ Dammam and Khobar | about 400 km | Same day or next | 1–3 days |
| Riyadh ↔ Qassim | about 350 km | Same day or next | 1–3 days |
| Riyadh ↔ Jeddah and Makkah | 870–950 km | 1–2 days | 2–4 days |
| Riyadh ↔ Madinah | about 850 km | 1–2 days | 2–4 days |
| Jeddah ↔ Makkah and Taif | 80–170 km | Same day | 1–2 days |
| Jeddah ↔ Madinah | about 420 km | Same day or next | 1–3 days |
| Jeddah ↔ Dammam | about 1,350 km | 2–3 days | 3–5 days |
| Riyadh ↔ Abha and Khamis Mushait | about 950 km | 1–2 days | 3–5 days |
| Jeddah ↔ Abha | about 650 km | 1–2 days | 2–4 days |
| Riyadh ↔ Tabuk | about 1,300 km | 2–3 days | 4–6 days |
| Jeddah ↔ Tabuk | about 1,000 km | 2 days | 3–5 days |
Distances are approximate and follow the road taken. These are the stages of a domestic trip and what each one takes:
| Stage | What happens | Usual time |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Request | Describing the shipment and the two cities, and setting the collection day | The day you call |
| 2. Collection | Weighing or measuring, packing, a label and number on every piece, a collection receipt | An hour for parcels; half a day to a day for furniture |
| 3. Consolidation | Waiting for the truck to the destination city to fill | 1 to 3 days; not needed for a dedicated truck |
| 4. The road | Driving between the two cities with the driver’s regulated stops | 5 hours to 2 days |
| 5. Sorting | Unloading at the arrival city’s warehouse and dividing by district | Half a day to a day |
| 6. Delivery | A call to the consignee, then delivery and signature, and assembly for furniture | Half a day |
What lengthens the time?
- A quiet line: a shared truck to a small governorate fills slowly, so consolidation takes longer.
- An incomplete address: a district with no building number, or a consignee’s mobile that does not answer, sends the shipment back to the warehouse for another day.
- Truck ban hours: the big cities restrict heavy trucks at peak times, so unloading is pushed to the night.
- Seasons: Ramadan and Hajj in Makkah and Madinah, and the start of the school year and the summer holiday in every city.
- Weather and road: fog and rain in the Asir highlands, and sandstorms on the desert roads.
Times for the international lines are on the transit times page.
Domestic shipping prices in Saudi Arabia
The price of a domestic shipment is built on three things: its weight or volume, the distance between the two cities, and whether it travels alone or with others. Parcels and cartons have a per-piece price, while furniture and goods are priced once the list is known. These are our starting prices:
| Item | Price starts from | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Parcel up to 5 kg between two main cities | SAR 32 | Door to door |
| Carton or parcel up to 20 kg | SAR 87 | In a double-wall carton |
| Moving a car between Jeddah and Riyadh | SAR 830 | Shared carrier, either direction |
| Moving a car on the other lines | Set on request | By the two cities and the carrier type |
| A piece of furniture or a home appliance | Set on request | By volume after packing |
| Furniture of a room, flat or villa between two cities | Set on request | By volume, distance, floor, dismantling and assembly |
| A pallet of goods in a shared load | Set on request | By weight, dimensions and line |
| A full Dyna or trailer | Set on request | The trip charge between the two cities |
| Domestic air freight | Set on request | By chargeable weight and the two airports |
For a move within one city rather than between two, prices inside Riyadh for example start from SAR 460 for a room, and are detailed in the article on moving furniture in Riyadh.
Prices quoted in the market: most of what is published about domestic shipping concerns express courier parcels. Figures of SAR 10 to 15 are mentioned for a small light parcel and SAR 20 to 50 for a larger one with some carriers, SAR 25 to 30 with others, and SAR 35 to 120 or from SAR 50 with others still. Published weight lists show about SAR 95 for up to 20 kg and about SAR 555 for a hundred kilograms. For moving a car between Riyadh and Jeddah, SAR 900 to 1,200 is quoted, and SAR 350 to 500 for short distances. As for moving furniture between cities, hardly any fixed price is published, because it follows the size of each home. So always compare on the same weight and the same two cities, and ask whether the price is door to door.
| Factor | How it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Distance between the two cities | Fuel and driver costs rise with it, and shift when the fuel price shifts |
| How busy the line is | The Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam line is cheaper than a line to a distant, low-demand governorate |
| Volume after packing | The basis for furniture and for large light pieces |
| Weight | The basis for parcels and heavy goods |
| Services at both ends | Dismantling and assembly, a floor with no lift, a crane: all are added to the road charge |
| Dedicated or shared | Dedicated costs the whole vehicle, even if it is not full |
How do you lower the cost?
- Choose the shared load as long as your date can bear two or three days.
- Combine what you are sending into one shipment instead of separate parcels on separate days.
- Dismantle large pieces before measuring, and fill the empty space in wardrobes and drawers with light items.
- Use a carton that fits the contents: with a half-empty carton you pay for its air.
- Hand the shipment over at our warehouse, or collect it there, if it is near you.
- Estimate the volume in advance with the CBM calculator, and read the pricing factors.
Parcels and cartons shipped between Saudi cities

Parcels and cartons are what is sent between cities in the greatest number. A gift for the family, clothes and books for a student, a spare part, company papers, or an order from a shop to its customer. We collect them from the door, where they are weighed and measured, and each piece gets a label carrying the tracking number and the consignee’s name, mobile, city and district.
At the warehouse the parcels are sorted by arrival city: a rack for Riyadh, another for Jeddah, another for Dammam, and so on. When a city’s load is complete it goes into its closed truck, and the pieces are recorded one by one as they board. In the arrival city they are sorted a second time by district, and the courier then calls the consignee before setting out. This double sorting is what stops a parcel going to a city that is not its own.
- Small parcel: up to 5 kg starts from SAR 32 between the main cities.
- Carton: up to 20 kg starts from SAR 87; anything above is charged by weight or volume, whichever is greater.
- Documents: in a sealed, stamped envelope, and the consignee signs by name on receipt.
- Suitcases: wrapped in plastic film that protects the zip and wheels and prevents opening.
- Small devices: in their original box where available, with padding that stops them moving inside the carton.
Breakable pieces are marked as such and placed at the top of the row, not the bottom. Service details are on the parcel shipping page.
Standard shipping and express shipping: what is the difference?
The same shipment can travel in two ways. Standard is the economical one, suited to what is not urgent and of moderate value, and it travels in the shared load. Express is for what cannot wait or is of high value; it moves on the first vehicle or the first flight, with less handling. The table sets out the difference:
| Point of comparison | Standard shipping | Express shipping |
|---|---|---|
| Means | Shared truck | A direct vehicle, or the aircraft for light items |
| Time between the main cities | 2–5 days | Same day to 2 days |
| Price | The lowest: your share of the truck | Higher, and set on request |
| For whom | Cartons, clothes and furniture in no hurry | Documents, spare parts, valuable devices, samples |
| Handling | Passes through two warehouses and two sortings | Hand to hand with the fewest stops |
For valuable items we advise declaring their value on the receipt and insuring them, whichever way they travel.
Furniture and appliances moved between Saudi cities

Moving from one city to another for work or study means moving a whole home hundreds of kilometres. That is different from a move within a district: the furniture stays in the box for a day or more and shakes on the road for long hours. Whatever is loaded without dismantling and wrapping arrives scratched or with its joints pulled loose.
So the crew works at your home in three steps before loading. The first is dismantling: wardrobes, beds, dining tables and desks are taken down to panels, and each piece’s screws go into a bag taped to it. The second is wrapping: blankets and bubble wrap for wood, corrugated card for glass, mirrors and screens, and plastic covers for mattresses and sofas. The third is numbering: a number on every piece and carton, matched by a line on a list of which you receive a copy.
Then comes loading, and it has an order: heavy items at the bottom and at the front of the box, light ones on top, and glass standing, not lying flat. The rows are pulled to the truck’s walls with straps, so the load does not shift under braking or on mountain bends. In the arrival city the furniture is carried to its rooms and reassembled.
- Fridge and freezer: unplugged a day ahead so the ice melts and they dry, and carried upright.
- Washing machine: the drum is locked with its transit bolts, and what remains in the hoses is drained.
- Air conditioner: removed by a technician who pumps the gas into the outdoor unit, and fitted by a technician in the other city.
- Oven and hob: the gas cylinder is disconnected and not shipped with it.
- Screens: in their original carton or in a padded box, and carried upright.
The price of moving furniture between two cities is set on request once the photos or the list are sent. The full service is on the furniture shipping page, and how to pack each type is in the article on packing furniture for a move.
A dedicated truck or a shared load between cities?
The decision follows the volume you are moving and your date. Someone moving their whole home who wants to sleep in the new house tomorrow takes a dedicated truck: it loads at their door and unloads at their other door, and nothing belonging to anyone else goes into the box. Someone sending a room or a few cartons, who is not troubled by a few days’ wait, takes a place in the shared truck and pays for that place only.
| Point of comparison | Dedicated truck | Shared load |
|---|---|---|
| Suitable volume | A whole flat or villa, or goods beyond half the box | One piece to two rooms, cartons, a few pallets |
| Departure date | You choose it | When the truck for your city is full |
| How it is charged | The trip charge | Per piece, per carton or per cubic metre |
| The shipment’s path | Straight from home to home | Home, warehouse, truck, warehouse, home |
| Delivery | The same vehicle and the same crew | A delivery van in the arrival city |
| When it is cheaper | When you fill most of the box | In everything below that |
The right truck size for your load
We choose the vehicle from your list, not by guesswork. A vehicle bigger than needed is wasted money, and a smaller one leaves pieces that need a second trip. The capacities below are approximate and vary from one box to another:
| Vehicle | What it roughly carries | When we send it |
|---|---|---|
| Small closed delivery van | Parcels, cartons and one or two pieces | Collection and delivery inside districts |
| Closed Dyna | One to two rooms with appliances | A small family’s shipment between two cities |
| Medium box lorry | A three-room flat | Most employee relocations |
| Closed trailer | A villa, or a shared load of several shipments | Long lines and palletised goods |
| Refrigerated truck | Food and medicines that need a steady temperature | On request, with a temperature log |
Equipment and machinery have their low-bed carriers and permits, covered on the heavy equipment shipping page.
Commercial goods and pallets between cities
The trader with a branch in another city, the supplier serving distributors in the regions, and the online shop selling to the whole Kingdom all need a regular domestic line, not a single trip. Three things matter to them: a known departure day, a piece count that matches the invoice, and a fixed cost per pallet or carton that they can build into the selling price.
Small quantities travel by the pallet in a shared load: stretch-wrapped, strapped and numbered, with the consignee’s name and city written on them. Large quantities take a full trailer, loaded by forklift at the warehouse and unloaded at the consignee. For every load inside the Kingdom an electronic waybill is issued through the Naql portal, carrying the details of the sender, consignee, goods and carrier, and it is the proof that your goods are with a licensed carrier.
- For online shops: regular collection from the shop, sorting by city, and a tracking number for every order to send to the customer.
- For branches and distributors: trips on agreed days, and a signed delivery note that comes back to you.
- Cash on delivery and returns: how they are handled is agreed in the service contract with the establishment.
- Price: set on request by the number of pallets, the line and how often the trips run.
Our services for businesses are on the commercial shipping page, and the related storage and distribution in the article on logistics services in Saudi Arabia.
From the port and airport to your city: distributing imports inside the Kingdom
A good deal of domestic shipping starts at a port or an airport, not at a home. A trader in Qassim or Abha imports from China or Turkey; the container arrives at Jeddah Islamic Port or King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and then needs a road to their warehouse. This inland leg is part of our work: customs clearance through licensed brokers, then loading at the port, then the road to the city.
The container may be moved whole to the importer’s door, or unloaded near the port with its goods divided among several cities. The second option suits those who distribute to several branches. For that we need the bill of lading, the invoice, the packing list, and the conformity certificate for products subject to one. Port procedures are in the article on customs clearance in Jeddah and on the customs clearance page.
Moving cars between Saudi cities on carriers
Someone who buys a car from a showroom in another city, or relocates for work and does not want to drive a thousand kilometres, moves the car on a carrier. The open shared carrier takes several cars and is the cheapest. The enclosed one is booked for a luxury, classic or new car whose owner wants it to arrive free of dust and stone chips.
The car is inspected at collection and photographed from all four sides and inside, and its odometer and any scratches are recorded in a report you sign. It is then lifted onto the carrier and secured by its wheels with straps. Moving a car between Jeddah and Riyadh starts from SAR 830 on a shared carrier, and the other lines are priced on request.
- Leave about a quarter of a tank, which is enough for loading and unloading.
- Take out personal belongings and papers: the carrier is not for shipping what is inside the car.
- Hand over the key, a copy of the registration card and a copy of your ID, or an authorisation if someone else will receive it.
- Tell us if the car does not run, so that we send a carrier with a winch.
More detail is in the articles on a car shipping company in Jeddah and a car shipping company in Riyadh, and on the car shipping page.
Delivering shipments in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Abha and Tabuk

Five cities stand for the Kingdom’s five directions: Riyadh in the centre, Jeddah in the west, Dammam in the east, Abha in the south and Tabuk in the north. Most of our domestic shipments circulate among them. Each city has its own character when it comes to delivery: one restricts truck hours, another has mountain roads, a third is far from everyone.
| City | How the truck reaches it | What matters for delivery there |
|---|---|---|
| Riyadh | The crossroads: from Dammam in the east, from Jeddah and Makkah in the west, from Qassim in the north | A sprawling city, so distribution is divided by its quarters. Heavy-truck entry hours are regulated, so we unload furniture with smaller vehicles or at night |
| Jeddah | From Riyadh via Taif and Makkah, from Madinah by the expressway, from the south by the coastal road | It has the port and the airport, so the west’s shipments gather there. Its old districts have narrow streets and are served by small vans |
| Dammam | About four hours’ drive from Riyadh, together with Khobar, Dhahran, Qatif and Jubail | A continuous urban area, so delivery is quick. The region is industrial, and much of its freight is goods and equipment |
| Abha | From Riyadh via Wadi ad-Dawasir and Khamis Mushait; from Jeddah along the coast then up the escarpment, or by the Taif and Al-Baha road | A mountain city more than two thousand metres up, with roads of gradients and bends. Strapping is a necessity here, and fog and rain can cost a day |
| Tabuk | From Jeddah via Yanbu and the coast or via Madinah and Tayma; from Riyadh via Qassim and Hail | The farthest of the five from the centre, on a quieter line. We gather its shipments in Madinah or Jeddah and they move together |
In all five cities delivery is to the door of the home. The courier calls before arriving, and hands over after the consignee has counted the pieces against the receipt. Anyone shipping from these cities abroad has an article for their city: international shipping company in Riyadh, international shipping companies in Jeddah, and international shipping company in Dammam.
The other cities and governorates domestic shipping reaches
The service does not stop at the five cities. Any town reached by a paved road is reached by a truck or a delivery van, and the only difference is the number of days. Towns on a main road are served with the line passing through them, and outlying governorates are served from the nearest large city:
| Region | Cities and governorates | How they are served |
|---|---|---|
| Central | Al-Kharj, Dawadmi, Majmaah, Zulfi, Wadi ad-Dawasir | From Riyadh by delivery vans |
| Qassim and Hail | Buraidah, Unaizah, Ar Rass, Hail | With the Riyadh and Madinah line |
| Western | Makkah, Taif, Madinah, Yanbu, Rabigh | From Jeddah daily or almost daily |
| Eastern | Khobar, Dhahran, Qatif, Jubail, Al-Ahsa, Hafar al-Batin | From Dammam |
| Southern | Khamis Mushait, Bisha, Al-Baha, Jazan, Najran | From Abha, or from Jeddah along the coast |
| Northern | Al-Jouf and Sakaka, Qurayyat, Arar, Rafha, Duba, Al-Wajh | From Tabuk and Hail, with longer consolidation |
Makkah and Madinah have restrictions in the Umrah and Hajj seasons: truck entry hours are tighter and the central area is served by small vehicles, so we confirm the hours in force before delivery day. The full list of cities is on the cities we serve page, and for Qassim there is the article on an international shipping company in Qassim.
Documents required for domestic shipping
Shipping between Saudi cities does not pass through customs, so there is no export declaration and no certificate of origin. What is needed is proof of who the two parties are and what is in the shipment. Light as the paperwork is, the list of contents remains the most important, because it is the reference for counting and for any claim:
| Type of shipment | What is required |
|---|---|
| A personal parcel or carton | The sender’s ID or residence permit; the consignee’s name, mobile, city and district; a brief description of the contents |
| Furniture and appliances | The owner’s ID, both addresses in detail, and a numbered list of pieces signed by both sides |
| Commercial goods | An invoice or delivery note in the establishment’s name, the sender’s commercial registration, and the consignee’s details |
| Food, medicines and cosmetics | The above, plus proof of the product’s licence and its storage conditions |
| A car | The registration card, the owner’s ID, and an authorisation if someone else hands it over or receives it |
| An import from a port or airport | The bill of lading, the invoice, the packing list, and the release order after clearance |
Anyone continuing the shipment abroad needs other papers, explained on the shipping documents page.
What is not shipped inside the Kingdom, or is restricted
The absence of customs does not mean everything can be loaded. Some items endanger the truck and those in it, some are banned by law, and some are accepted on a condition. And because a shared load holds several people’s shipments, we ask about the contents of every sealed carton before accepting it:
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Gas cylinders, fuel, paints and solvents | Not accepted in a closed truck with furniture or parcels |
| Weapons, ammunition and fireworks | Refused |
| Legally banned substances | Refused, and reported |
| Cash, gold, jewellery and original documents | Not shipped; they stay with their owner |
| Perishable food | In a refrigerated truck only |
| Medicines | A personal quantity with its prescription; commercial with its licence |
| Loose batteries and pressurised sprays | Accepted by road with suitable packing; not accepted by air |
| Live animals and plants | Outside this service |
The general list is on the prohibited items page.
Domestic air freight in Saudi Arabia for urgent shipments

The road between Dammam and Jeddah is two days by truck and two hours by air. So when time is the problem, the shipment flies. We collect it from your door and hand it to cargo at your city’s airport; it leaves on the first available flight to the airport of the consignee’s city, and from there it is distributed to their address. Door to door takes 1 to 2 days.
Most traffic runs between the three big airports: King Khalid in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz in Jeddah and King Fahd in Dammam. Alongside them are the regional airports such as Madinah, Abha, Tabuk, Jazan, Qassim and Hail, served according to the flights available. Air freight is charged on chargeable weight, the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight, so a large light piece is charged by its volume.
| Point of comparison | Domestic air freight | The truck |
|---|---|---|
| Time between Riyadh and Jeddah | 1–2 days door to door | 1–4 days |
| Suits | Documents, light parcels, spare parts, samples, personal medicines | Furniture, appliances, pallets, anything heavy or bulky |
| How it is charged | Per kilogram of chargeable weight | Per piece, by volume, or the trip charge |
| What is not accepted | Loose batteries, sprays, perfumes in quantity, flammable liquids | Gas, fuel and hazardous materials |
| Price | Set on request | A parcel from SAR 32 |
The practical advice: do not send by air what can wait two days, since the price gap is large and the time gap small on the short lines. Work out your shipment’s weight with the volumetric weight calculator. Service details are on the air freight page and in the article on air freight from Saudi Arabia.
Is sea or rail used for domestic shipping?
In practice the sea does not serve shipping between Saudi cities. The big cities lie on two coasts far apart, and a ship between Jeddah and Dammam sails round the whole peninsula, so the truck is faster and cheaper. With us the sea is for international shipping only, covered on the sea freight page.
Rail has a limited role for containers: a railway links the Riyadh Dry Port with King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, and import and export containers move on it. The Haramain train between Makkah, Jeddah and Madinah is for passengers, not freight. So parcels and furniture stay on the truck.
Packing that suits a long road inside the Kingdom
The roads between Saudi cities are good, but they are long and hot. In summer the temperature inside a truck box climbs high, dust creeps in through any gap, and the vibration goes on for hours. The packing we use is built around these three:
- Cartons: double-wall, filled so that no gap remains, and taped top and bottom with wide tape.
- Fabrics and mattresses: a full plastic cover that keeps out dust and damp.
- Glass and mirrors: corner protectors and corrugated card, loaded upright between soft pieces.
- Heat-sensitive items: candles, chocolate, cosmetics and medicines are not sent in an ordinary box in summer.
- Pallets: stretch wrap and straps, with card corners protecting the top row from the strap’s pressure.
Our packing guide lists each material and where it belongs, while the packing and lashing page shows how a truck box is strapped for the road.
Temporary storage before shipping or after arrival
Not every shipment finds someone to receive it on the day it arrives. An employee whose furniture reached the new city before they got the keys to the flat, or a shop that wants to keep stock close to its customers. In these cases the shipment stays in the warehouse for days or weeks, numbered and wrapped as it arrived, and goes out to the address when its owner asks for it.
The storage period and its charge are written in the booking confirmation. The service terms are on the storage page, and for owners of goods there is the article on goods storage in Jeddah.

- Number and receipt: a label on every piece, and a collection receipt with the piece count and the tracking number.
- The road: the shipment is loaded into the truck for its city, and we notify you when it leaves.
- Arrival and sorting: it is unloaded in the consignee’s city and sorted by district.
- Delivery: a call to the consignee, then delivery, a count against the receipt and a signature, and assembly for furniture.
Tracking and insurance
The tracking number is given to the shipment at the moment of collection, and it is the same on the receipt and on the labels. With it you can see where your shipment has reached on the shipment tracking page or by WhatsApp message. For shops we send the number to pass on to the customer, who then follows the order themselves.
Insurance is optional and based on the value declared on the receipt. It is worth its charge for valuable devices, fine furniture and commercial goods. It does not cover a piece left off the list, nor a carton its owner sealed without our seeing inside. The terms of compensation and of changing a booking are written in the booking confirmation. Details are on the cargo insurance page.
From domestic shipping to international shipping
Many of our domestic shipments are half a journey. Furniture leaving Abha for Jeddah to board a container, or cartons from Tabuk to Riyadh to join a truck heading to the Gulf. Anyone who books both legs with us deals with one party, one number and one list from their door to the consignee’s door in the other country.
The reverse holds too: a shipment arriving from abroad at Jeddah port or a land crossing continues to any city in the Kingdom. The land routes out and their crossings are in the article on a land freight company in Saudi Arabia, and the address-to-address service abroad in the article on a door-to-door shipping company.
Tips before you send your shipment
- Write the consignee’s National Address or send their location: a district name alone is not enough in a big city.
- Make sure the consignee is there on the expected delivery days, and give us an alternative number.
- Photograph furniture and appliances before wrapping, and keep a copy of the list.
- Empty wardrobes and drawers of heavy items, and leave the light ones.
- Book a few days ahead of month-end and the start of the school year, when moves are at their busiest.
- Ask about parking for the truck in front of both buildings, and about the lift and its size.
How do you choose a domestic shipping company?
Carriers between cities are many, from parcel companies to the lone driver. Price alone is not enough to choose by, since the cheapest may deliver to a warehouse, not to the door. These questions reveal the difference:
| Question | A reassuring answer | An answer that calls for caution |
|---|---|---|
| Where is the shipment delivered? | At the consignee’s door, and the receipt says so | “They collect it from the branch” |
| Does it have a tracking number? | A number on the receipt and on every piece | “We will call you when it arrives” |
| How long will it take? | A range of days, with the cause of any likely delay | A promise to the hour for a shared load |
| What does the price cover? | Collection, packing and delivery, named one by one | A figure that changes at the door |
| Who moves the furniture? | A crew that dismantles, wraps and assembles, and a closed truck | An open vehicle and workers with no tools |
| Is the carrier legitimate? | A commercial registration, a waybill and a stamped receipt | No paper and no establishment name |
Common mistakes in shipping between cities
- Sending the parcel with an old mobile number for the consignee, so it returns to the warehouse.
- Packing a heavy device in a thin carton that has been used before.
- Leaving the fridge running until loading time, so it leaks onto what is beneath it.
- Booking a dedicated truck for a few cartons, or a shared one when the deadline is the day after tomorrow.
- Putting official papers or jewellery inside a carton of clothes.
- Handing furniture to an open vehicle on a long desert road.
- Agreeing verbally, with no receipt stating the number of pieces and their condition.

Frequently asked questions about a domestic shipping company in Saudi Arabia
What does a domestic shipping company in Saudi Arabia carry?
Anything that moves from one city to another inside the Kingdom: a parcel, carton or suitcase; the furniture and appliances of a home; pallets of goods for a shop or a factory; a car on a carrier; and an urgent document or part by air. We collect from the sender’s address and deliver to the consignee’s address, so neither side has to visit a branch.
How long does shipping between Saudi cities take?
With a dedicated truck the shipment arrives the same day or the next when the distance is around 500 km, such as Riyadh and Dammam, and in 1 to 2 days for about a thousand kilometres, such as Riyadh and Jeddah. A shared truck needs 2 to 5 days between the main cities and up to 7 days for distant governorates, because it waits for the load to fill and is then distributed.
How much does domestic shipping in Saudi Arabia cost?
A parcel up to 5 kg starts from SAR 32, a carton or parcel up to 20 kg from SAR 87, and moving a car between Jeddah and Riyadh on a shared carrier from SAR 830. Furniture, pallets and a dedicated truck are set on request, because the price follows the volume and the two cities. Send the list or photos to 0552803439 and you will receive the figure.
What is the cheapest way to ship domestically?
A shared load on a line between two main cities. You pay only for the space your shipment occupies, and a busy line fills quickly, so the waiting days are few. You save more when large pieces are dismantled before measuring, and when you are flexible about the collection day so that we can add you to the nearest truck heading to your city.
Do you collect from home and deliver to home?
Yes, that is the core service. The collection vehicle comes to your home, shop or warehouse at the agreed time, and the parcel or furniture is delivered to the consignee’s door in their city. Furniture is carried inside and assembled where the agreement covers it. Anyone who prefers to hand over at our warehouse to lower the charge may do so.
How much does it cost to move a car from Jeddah to Riyadh?
It starts from SAR 830 on a shared carrier that takes several cars, and the same price applies in the opposite direction. An enclosed carrier for a luxury or classic car is set on request, as are the other lines such as Dammam, Abha and Tabuk. The trip between the two cities takes 1 to 3 days depending on when the carrier fills.
Do you move furniture between cities with dismantling and assembly?
Yes. The crew dismantles wardrobes, beds and dining tables at your home, wraps and numbers every piece, then secures the load with straps inside a closed truck. In the arrival city the furniture is unloaded and reassembled in its rooms. Appliances are prepared before loading: the fridge is unplugged a day ahead, the washing-machine drum is locked, and a technician removes the air conditioner.
What is the difference between a dedicated and a shared truck inside the Kingdom?
A dedicated truck is a vehicle booked for you from your address to the other address; it leaves on loading day and passes through no warehouse. A shared one combines your shipment with other people’s shipments heading to the same city, so you pay less and wait longer. A whole home, or goods filling more than half the box, deserves a dedicated truck; anything smaller is cheaper shared.
Can I ship a single carton or a single item?
Yes, there is no minimum number of pieces. One carton, a suitcase, a fridge or a sofa is accepted in the shared load. A carton up to 20 kg starts from SAR 87, and a large item is priced by its volume after packing. Write the consignee’s name, mobile number and district on every piece, since an incomplete address is what delays delivery most.
Do you reach Abha, Tabuk, Jazan and the distant cities?
Yes. Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran in the south, and Tabuk, Al-Jouf and Arar in the north, are all within the service. The difference is in the time, not in whether it can be done: lines to them are quieter than the Riyadh–Jeddah line, so a shared load waits more days. Anyone in a hurry takes a dedicated truck or sends the parcel by air to the city’s airport.
What documents are needed for domestic shipping?
There are no customs between Saudi cities, so the paperwork is light. For parcels and furniture: the sender’s ID or residence permit, the consignee’s name, mobile number and address, and a list of contents. For commercial goods: an invoice or delivery note in the establishment’s name. For a car: the registration card and the owner’s ID or an authorisation from them. An electronic waybill with both parties’ details is issued for the load.
When should I choose domestic air freight?
When the shipment is light and time is short: a contract or official paperwork, a spare part that has stopped a machine, personal medicine, or a sample that must arrive before a meeting. The aircraft turns a two-day road into two hours, and the shipment is delivered to the door in 1 to 2 days. Furniture and heavy goods belong on the truck, because air is charged by the kilogram.
How do I track my shipment inside the Kingdom?
Every shipment receives a number at collection, written on the receipt and on the label of each piece. With that number you ask about its status by WhatsApp message or on the tracking page of the website. On our side we notify you at three points: when the truck leaves your city, when it reaches the consignee’s city, and when the delivery van sets out for their address.
What do you not accept in domestic shipping?
Gas cylinders, fuel, paints and flammable materials do not go into a closed truck with furniture or parcels. Cash, gold and original documents stay with their owner. Perishable food needs a refrigerated truck. Weapons, fireworks and legally banned substances are refused. We ask about the contents of every sealed carton before accepting it.
Do you also ship from Saudi Arabia abroad?
Yes, and international shipping is the root of our work. The truck that carries your shipment from Abha or Tabuk to Riyadh or Jeddah is the first leg of a journey that may continue by land to the Gulf and Jordan, by sea in a container, or by air. So anyone shipping abroad from a small city gets both legs from us in one booking.
