What does a furniture moving company in Taif offer?
It offers a complete move from the door of the old home to the rooms of the new one. The crew arrives with its tools and packing materials, dismantles what needs dismantling, wraps every piece and loads it into a closed truck that keeps out road dust and highland rain. At the new address each piece goes back to its room and is assembled and adjusted. The householder carries nothing and does not have to look for a carpenter or a curtain fitter afterwards.
Taif is not a flat city. It has districts on hillsides, narrow old streets in the centre, and mountain suburbs such as Al-Hada and Ash-Shafa. So the work starts with two questions before the price: where does the house stand, and which vehicle can reach its door. The table gathers what matters at a glance.

| Time to move a flat | One day in most cases |

What does the moving service cover, item by item?
Much of the friction between a customer and a mover comes from an item nobody mentioned when the deal was made. The customer assumes hanging the curtains is in the price; the mover counts it as extra work. So we write the items into the booking confirmation one by one, and both sides know what will be done on moving day and what lies outside the agreement. These are the items a customer chooses from.
| Item | What is done | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory | A list of pieces from your photos or a visit | The basis of the price and the truck size |
| Dismantling | Wardrobes, beds, tables, curtains, kitchens, air conditioners | Air conditioners are removed by a cooling technician |
| Packing | Reinforced cartons, foam, bubble wrap, blankets, corner guards | According to the type of each piece |
| Loading and transport | Closed truck and lashing straps | Heavy below, fragile above |
| Unloading and assembly | Each piece returned to its room and adjusted | Following the carton numbers |
| Storage | A closed warehouse in Jeddah for those whose home is not ready | Optional, at a monthly rate |
Who asks for furniture moving in Taif?
Demand in Taif has faces that other cities do not share. The city is a summer resort, and many people from Jeddah and Makkah own a house or a rest house there that they furnish before the summer. It has a university attended by students from elsewhere, and government departments and services whose staff are transferred in and out every year. Each of these groups needs something different from a move.
| Customer | What they usually move | What suits them |
|---|---|---|
| A family moving between two districts | The furniture of a flat or a full floor | A dedicated truck and a dismantling and assembly crew in one day |
| An employee transferred from or to Taif | A whole home to another city | A dedicated truck between the two cities and packing for a long road |
| A university student | A bed, a desk and cartons | A small vehicle and two workers |
| The owner of a summer home or rest house | Seating, bedrooms and appliances from Jeddah or Makkah | A move between the two cities and assembly in Al-Hada or Ash-Shafa |
| A shop or office owner | Shelving, desks and equipment | A move outside working hours |
| A resident leaving the Kingdom | Furniture and belongings to the home country | Export packing and land, sea or air freight |
Survey and pricing: by photos or by visit
A correct price starts with a correct inventory. The easiest way is to take two photos or a short video of each room, open the wardrobes in front of the camera, and send it all with the location of both homes on WhatsApp. From these we count the pieces, estimate the number of cartons and see what needs dismantling. We also ask about the floor, the lift and the width of the street, because these three change the number of workers and the type of truck.
A large villa, or a home with unusual pieces such as a built-in wardrobe or a marble table, is surveyed by a visit when one is agreed. After the inventory you receive a single figure that states what it covers. Anything added on moving day that was not in the photos is priced clearly before it is loaded, not after it arrives.
Taking down curtains and packing furniture in Taif homes
Homes in Taif have many heavy lined curtains, because the winter is cold and windows are dressed in two layers. So we start with them before the furniture: each curtain is slid off its track, shaken out, folded along its length so the pleats do not crease, and placed in a bag marked with the room and the window. Then the tracks and brackets come down, with their screws tied to them.

After the curtains comes the furniture. Sofas are wrapped in film and then in a blanket that protects their wooden edges. A bedroom is taken apart into its panels; mirrors and glass doors are packed in foam and cardboard, and hinges and screws go into a bag taped to the same panel. Every carton gets a number and the name of its room, and the number is entered in a list of which the customer keeps a copy.
| Room | What is dismantled | How it is packed |
|---|---|---|
| Sitting room and lounge | Curtains, sofa legs where removable, tables | Film and blankets for sofas, cardboard corners for tables |
| Bedroom | Wardrobe, bed, dressing table and its mirror | Numbered panels, foam for mirrors, a bag for the mattress |
| Children’s room | Beds, desks and shelves | Light cartons for toys and books |
| Dining room | Table legs and the glass top | The top is carried upright between two foam sheets |
| Kitchen | Wall cabinets and shelves | Small cartons for cookware, paper between plates |
| Corridors and entrances | Chandeliers, pictures and mirrors | A box for each chandelier and corners for frames |
Anyone who wants to pack some belongings personally before the crew arrives will find the method set out in the article on packing furniture for a move and in the packing guide.
Kitchenware, ornaments, chandeliers and carpets
These pieces are small in size and costly when broken, and they are the first thing the family asks about on arrival. China and glass are each wrapped in their own paper, plates are stood on their edges rather than stacked, and the empty space in the carton is filled so that nothing moves when it is shaken. Cooking pots nest inside one another with cloth between them and go into small cartons, because their weight adds up quickly.
Ornaments and decorative items are wrapped one by one and their carton is marked “fragile” on two sides. A chandelier has its crystals removed and collected in numbered bags, and its frame travels in a box that hangs or supports it. Carpets are vacuumed, rolled face in and covered with film so road dust cannot get in; they are never folded, because folding breaks the weave.
| Piece | The risk | How it is protected |
|---|---|---|
| Plates and cups | Breakage from vibration | Paper for each piece, stood on edge, gaps filled |
| Pots and cookware | Scratches and an overweight carton | Cloth between pieces and small cartons |
| Ornaments and decorative items | Breakage and loss | Bubble wrap and a carton marked with the room |
| Chandeliers | Loose crystals and a bent frame | Numbered bags and a dedicated box |
| Carpets and fitted carpet | Dust and damp | Rolled, with film sealed at both ends |
Electrical appliances: from the air conditioner to the blender
Appliances are damaged by poor preparation more often than by the road. The fridge is unplugged a day before the move and dried, carried upright, and left for some hours after arrival before it is switched on. The washing machine has its drum locked with the transit bolts and its hose drained. The cooker is disconnected from the gas and its grids removed and wrapped separately. A screen travels upright in its carton or between two foam sheets, with nothing placed on top.
Small appliances are gathered in cartons by room: the microwave, the blender, the iron and the fans, each in its own wrap with its cable. The split air conditioner is a different matter: a technician removes it after pumping the gas down into the outdoor unit. In Taif air conditioning is used less in summer and heaters more in winter, and heaters are emptied of fuel or oil before loading.
| Appliance | Before loading | After arrival |
|---|---|---|
| Fridge and freezer | Unplugged a day ahead, dried, shelves secured | A few hours’ wait before switching on |
| Washing machine | Drum locked and water drained | Transit bolts removed and the machine levelled |
| Cooker and oven | Gas disconnected, grids and glass wrapped | Connected by a technician and checked for leaks |
| Split air conditioner | Gas pumped down and pipes disconnected | Fitted, vacuumed and tested |
| Screens | Original carton or foam, carried upright | Mounted on the bracket and connected |
| Microwave, blender, iron and fans | Each wrapped with its cable in the room’s carton | Carton opened in its place |
Loading furniture in the hilly streets of Taif
Loading in Taif differs from loading in a flat coastal city. Some districts are built on a hillside, so the house stands on a sloping street, and some streets in the old centre cannot take a large truck or offer a parking place near the door. A truck parked on a slope with its rear door open needs precautions that level ground does not.

So we choose the vehicle from a photo of the street. A narrow street is entered by a small truck that stops at the door, then either carries its load directly or hands it over to a bigger truck on the main road. On a slope the truck is positioned nose-first so that pieces do not slide towards the door, and chocks are placed under the wheels before it is opened. Heavy pieces such as a fridge or a safe go up on the tail lift, so the workers do not carry them up the truck’s steps.
| Situation | What makes it hard | The solution |
|---|---|---|
| A narrow street in the old centre | A large truck cannot enter | A small truck carrying in several runs |
| A house on a slope | Pieces sliding and the truck moving | Wheel chocks, nose-first parking and lashing during loading |
| A heavy piece | Lifting it into the truck body | A tail lift and a hand trolley |
| An upper floor without a lift | Long stairs with tight turns | More workers and large pieces dismantled |
| A piece that will not pass the stairs | The width of the door or the staircase | An exterior hoist after the façade is inspected |
| A mountain road to Al-Hada or Ash-Shafa | Bends and a long climb | Tight straps and a load no higher than the truck body |
Stairs, lifts and exterior hoisting
Most apartment buildings in Taif have only a few floors, and many have no lift or a small one that will not take a sofa. So when you send the photos, state the floor number and whether the lift may be used for furniture. Stairs do not prevent a move, but they add workers and time, and long pieces are dismantled so that they turn the corners without scraping the walls.
If a piece is bigger than both the stairs and the door, such as a one-piece wardrobe or a two-door fridge, the answer is an exterior hoist from the balcony or the window. This is work agreed before moving day, because it needs an inspection of the façade, its distance from the street and any nearby power cables. It is not improvised on the spot.
On the road: calm driving and a lashed load
Well-packed furniture is still damaged if it shifts inside the truck. So the load is stacked in order: heavy and flat pieces at the bottom and towards the cab, cartons in the middle, fragile and light items on top, then the straps are tightened against both walls. The roads of Taif rise and fall and the districts have speed humps, so the driver goes gently and slows before a bend, not in it.
On arrival the load is not taken off in one go. The door is opened carefully, because a sloping road may have tilted a piece towards it; then the pieces come down in the reverse order of loading, and each is carried by hand straight to its room. This way furniture does not pile up in the entrance and nothing is dragged across the tiles.
Arranging and assembling furniture in Taif districts
The move does not end at the door of the new home. The crew takes each carton to the room written on it, then assembles what it dismantled: the wardrobe is put together and its doors adjusted until they close flush, the bed is tightened, the dining table goes back on its legs and the curtains are hung on their tracks. Pieces are levelled on the new floor, since floors vary in evenness from one home to another.

The service reaches every district of the city. Shihar, As-Salamah and Al-Faisaliyah are among the most requested, along with Qarwa, Al-Aqiq, Nakhb, Maashi, Jabrah and As-Sadad. Al-Hawiyah lies to the north-east near the airport and the university, and Al-Hada and Ash-Shafa are mountain heights outside the built-up area, for which travel time is added. The table shows what distinguishes each side of the city in a move.
| Area | Districts and places | What is taken into account |
|---|---|---|
| City centre | As-Salamah, Al-Faisaliyah, Shubra, the old town centre | Busy streets, some narrow; loading is easier in the morning |
| West of the city | Shihar, Qarwa, Al-Washha, Al-Mathnah | Apartment buildings and villas, some streets on a gradient |
| North and east of the city | Al-Hawiyah, Al-Qumariyah, Al-Aqiq, Al-Sail | Wider roads and newer subdivisions, further from the centre |
| South of the city | Nakhb, Maashi, Jabrah, As-Sadad | Residential districts of varying street width; a street photo is requested |
| Al-Hada | Rest houses and summer homes west of Taif | A winding climb, and fog on some days |
| Ash-Shafa | Farms and rest houses south of Taif | The highest ground, with narrow side roads to some houses |
Furniture moving prices in Taif
The price is built on the volume of furniture and the dismantling and packing requested with it, then on the conditions at both homes. The figures below are the starting point for each category inside the city, and whatever applies to your case is added after the inventory. You are not asked for any amount that was not stated in the booking confirmation.
| What you move | Price starts from | Note |
|---|---|---|
| A room or a few pieces | SAR 460 | A small vehicle and two workers |
| A two- to three-room flat | SAR 550 | Transport with basic dismantling and assembly |
| A large flat or a full floor | SAR 920 | A closed truck and a larger crew |
| A four- to five-room flat with full packing | SAR 1,380 | Every piece packed and numbered |
| A villa | SAR 2,150 | More than one trip or more than one truck |
| Dismantling and reassembling a bedroom | SAR 275 | Without transport |
| Dismantling a kitchen | SAR 640 | Refitting depends on the size of the new kitchen |
| Al-Hada and Ash-Shafa, moves between cities, exterior hoisting | Set on request | According to distance, road and survey |
Prices seen in the market: most of what is published for Taif is private classified advertising, offering a light-truck trip from about SAR 100, with similar listings in other cities between SAR 120 and SAR 400. That is the hire of a vehicle and a driver for one trip, with no dismantling, packing or assembly, and usually an open body. Company pages mostly publish no figure at all and settle for the phrase “cheapest prices”. So compare offers by what each one includes, not by the number alone.
| Factor | How it affects the price |
|---|---|
| Number and size of pieces | Sets the truck size and the number of trips |
| Floor and lift | Stairs add workers and time |
| Street width and gradient | A small truck working in runs lengthens the day |
| Dismantling and assembly | Large wardrobes, kitchens and air conditioners are priced separately |
| Level of packing | Full packing adds materials and hours |
| Distance between the addresses | Al-Hada, Ash-Shafa and Al-Sail are further than the central districts |
| Season | Summer and the end of the school year are busiest |
These are ways to lower the cost without compromising the safety of the furniture:
- Book midweek and outside the summer peak.
- Dispose of what you will not use before the inventory; every piece counts.
- Put clothes and books into cartons before the crew arrives.
- Reserve the lift and a parking place for the truck at both buildings in advance.
- Send complete photos; surprises on moving day cost time.
How long does a move within Taif take?
Distances between the districts of Taif are short, so the time goes on dismantling, packing and assembly rather than on the road. We start early in the morning so that arranging is complete before evening and the family sleeps in its own beds that night. The times below are approximate for a home in a building with a lift on a street the truck can enter.
| Size of the move | Usual time | What lengthens it |
|---|---|---|
| A room or a few pieces | 2 to 3 hours | An upper floor without a lift |
| A two- to three-room flat | 4–6 hours | Many wardrobes and curtains |
| A large flat or a full floor | A full working day | The kitchen and the air conditioners |
| A villa | One to two days | Several floors and many ornaments |
| A move to Al-Hada or Ash-Shafa | One to two hours added for the road | Fog and summer traffic |
What makes moving in Taif different from other cities?
Taif is a high city, standing some 1,700 metres and more above sea level, and the heights of Al-Hada and Ash-Shafa around it are higher still. This makes practical differences. Its summer is mild, so daytime work is easier on the crew than in the coastal cities. Its winter is cold and rainy, and fog comes down on the mountain roads without warning, so pieces are covered with film even for the short distance between the door and the truck.
The season governs booking. In summer holidaymakers arrive and the roads to the parks fill up, and spring brings the rose season and its visitors. The traffic authorities regulate large trucks on certain roads and at certain times, and this changes with the season and the weather, so we confirm what is in force before loading day. The buildings are low-rise blocks, villas and rest houses, so exterior hoisting is requested less than in cities of towers, and stairs are more common.
Moving furniture from Taif to other Saudi cities
Taif is a crossroads in the west of the Kingdom: from it the road drops to Makkah and Jeddah, heads east to Riyadh and south to Al-Baha and Abha. A move between cities is done by a dedicated truck that leaves on loading day, or by a shared load for those with few belongings and time to spare. The distances in the table are approximate, and the driving time is for a loaded truck, not a light car.
| Destination | Approximate distance | Truck driving time | Delivery by dedicated truck |
|---|---|---|---|
| Makkah | About 90 km via Al-Hada, about 120 km via Al-Sail | About 2 hours | Same day |
| Jeddah | About 170 km | About 3 hours | Same day |
| Al-Baha | About 220 km | 3–4 hours | Same day |
| Madinah | About 500 km | 6–7 hours | Same or next day |
| Abha | About 560 km | 7–8 hours | Next day |
| Riyadh | About 780 km | 9–10 hours | Next day |
| Dammam | About 1,200 km | About a day and a half | Within two days |
Each line has its details in its own article: furniture moving from Jeddah to Taif and furniture moving from Riyadh to Taif, while those heading for the holy capital will find its particulars under furniture moving company in Mecca. The price between cities is set on request by volume and distance, and loose cartons shipped between cities start from SAR 87 per carton, as in domestic shipping in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Hada or Al-Sail? There are two roads to Makkah. The Al-Hada road is shorter, but it is a long mountain descent with sharp bends and is sometimes closed in rain and after rockfalls. The Al-Sail road is longer and gentler in gradient, and large trucks are directed to it. So the furniture truck takes Al-Sail, we calculate its time on that basis, and we confirm the state of both roads on the morning of loading.
Car shipping from and to Taif
Someone moving to a distant city does not want to drive a second car behind the furniture truck. So the car travels on a car carrier to Riyadh, Dammam, Abha or elsewhere, and its owner collects it in the new city. The car is photographed from all sides at collection, its odometer and any existing scratches are recorded, and its wheels are strapped down on the carrier.
The price of moving a car from Taif is set on request according to the city and the type of carrier, open and shared or enclosed for a luxury car. For those leaving the Kingdom the car is shipped by land to the Gulf and Jordan or by sea from Jeddah port, as detailed on the car shipping page.
Furniture storage when the new home is not ready
The lease on the old home may end before the new one is ready, or the owner of a summer house may travel and want the furniture kept until next season. In that case the furniture is taken, packed, to our closed warehouse in Jeddah, entered in a photographed inventory, and returned to Taif or to any city on the day you choose. We have no warehouse in Taif itself, so transport between the two cities is priced with the order.
| What you store | Monthly price starts from |
|---|---|
| A small space: cartons and a few pieces | SAR 185 |
| A single large appliance | SAR 230 |
| The furniture of a flat | SAR 600 |
| The furniture of a villa | Set on request after the inventory |
The storage terms and what cannot be stored are explained in the article on furniture storage in Jeddah.
Moving offices, shops and rest houses
An office or shop move is measured in hours of lost trading. So it is done in the evening or at the weekend; desks and drawers are numbered with their owners’ names, and files travel in cartons sealed with tape signed by the person in charge. Equipment, servers and printers are packed separately and carried upright.
Rest houses in Al-Hada and Ash-Shafa bring seasonal demand: outdoor seating, canopies, children’s play equipment and barbecues, dismantled and moved before the summer and sometimes stored after it. Furniture for hotels and furnished apartments is moved room by room against a single list, so each set returns to its room number.
Moving from Taif to other countries by land and sea
A resident finishing work in Taif needs a different kind of move: packing that withstands days on the road or weeks in a container, and a contents list to present to customs. The furniture is dismantled and packed at home in Taif, and the route then depends on the country. Taif has no port; the nearest is Jeddah Islamic Port.
| Destination | Method | How the shipment travels from Taif | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Gulf states | Land, in closed trucks | To Riyadh, then the border crossing | A carton from SAR 140; furniture set on request |
| Jordan | Land, in closed trucks | North to the border crossing | Set on request |
| Turkey, North Africa and Europe | Sea, in a full or shared container | By truck to Jeddah Islamic Port | Set on request |
| Any destination, for urgent items | Air | Taif airport or Jeddah airport | From SAR 14 per kilogram to the Gulf |
The details of each method and the customs exemptions for returnees are in international furniture shipping from Saudi Arabia, and the port and airport lines in international shipping companies in Jeddah. To compare the methods: land freight and sea freight.
Air freight for furniture and belongings from Taif to destinations abroad
The aircraft is not for a whole household: a price per kilogram makes a wardrobe cost more to fly than it is worth. But it is the answer for what cannot wait: a traveller’s excess bags, cartons of clothes and books, an urgent or small valuable piece, and documents. Those who are leaving send the home by truck or container and send by air what they need in the first week.

Taif International Airport lies about 27 km north-east of the city and has international flights to a limited number of destinations. If one of them matches your shipment’s destination and accepts its cargo, it flies from there; otherwise it is taken to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, which has more destinations and more flights. We collect from your home in either case and tell you which airport it will leave from. The price is charged on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is greater, and the calculation is on the air freight page.
| Destination | Price starts from | Approximate door-to-door time |
|---|---|---|
| The Gulf states | SAR 14 per kilogram | 1–3 days |
| Europe | SAR 23 per kilogram | 3–7 days |
| United Kingdom | SAR 26 per kilogram | 3–7 days |
| North and West Africa | SAR 28 per kilogram | 4–8 days |
| United States | SAR 41 per kilogram | 5–9 days |
| Documents abroad | SAR 83 | According to destination |
Booking steps with Home Safe
- Send photos of the rooms and the location of both homes on WhatsApp 0552803439.
- State the floor and the lift, and send a photo of the street in front of each home.
- You receive the price, what it covers and the suggested type of truck.
- You choose the day and receive the booking confirmation with its items and terms.
- The crew arrives in the morning, takes down curtains and furniture, packs and numbers.
- The truck is loaded and the load lashed, and you receive a copy of the carton list.
- The pieces are unloaded at the new home and assembled in their rooms.
- You go through the list with the supervisor, then pay the balance.
Liability, insurance and crew conduct
The crew is responsible for what it packs and carries with its own hands, under the terms written in the booking confirmation. That is why any old scratch or break on a piece is recorded before loading, and the furniture is checked with the customer after assembly and before the crew leaves. Cargo insurance is optional and offered on request; we recommend it for moves between cities and for valuable pieces, and it is explained on the cargo insurance page.
The workers enter a home where a family lives, so courtesy is part of the job: they ask before entering rooms, do not open what they were not asked to open, and leave the place clear of packing waste. Their own safety is also a condition of the work: a heavy piece is carried by enough people with lifting straps and gloves, and no worker is pushed to carry something that would hurt his back to save time.
Tips before moving day in Taif
- Book early if your date falls in summer or at the end of the school year.
- Photograph the street and the building entrance; the truck is chosen from them.
- Unplug the fridge a day ahead, and empty the washing machine and heaters.
- Carry gold, official papers and medicines with you; do not put them in cartons.
- Set aside one carton for the first night: bedding, cups and chargers.
- Follow the weather in winter; rain and fog may delay loading by hours.
- Make sure electricity and water are working in the new home before arrival.
How do you choose a furniture moving company in Taif?
Advertisements are many and the figures look alike; the difference shows on moving day. So ask specific questions before agreeing, and compare the answers rather than the promises. A mover who asks for photos of the street and the stairs before pricing knows the city, and one who gives you a number before seeing anything will revise it at the door.
| Question | Reassuring sign | Warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| Is the business registered? | A commercial registration, a clear name and a receipt | A mobile number only |
| How was the move priced? | After photos and an inventory | An instant figure with no questions |
| What kind of vehicle? | A closed truck that suits the street | An open body with a cloth cover |
| Who removes the air conditioner? | A cooling technician | Any worker in the crew |
| What does the price include? | Items written in the confirmation | “Everything”, with no detail |
| What if a piece is damaged? | Written terms and optional insurance | A verbal promise |
A wider comparison across cities and lines is in the guide to furniture moving companies in Saudi Arabia.

Frequently asked questions about a furniture moving company in Taif
What does a furniture moving company in Taif do?
It handles the move from the first screw undone to the last curtain hung: listing the furniture from photos, dismantling wardrobes and beds and taking down curtains, packing every piece, loading it into a closed truck, then unloading and assembling it in the new home. The service covers the districts of Taif and its mountain suburbs, moves from Taif to other Saudi cities, and freight abroad for those leaving.
How much does it cost to move furniture within Taif?
Moving a room or a few pieces starts from SAR 460, a two- to three-room flat from SAR 550, a large flat or a full floor from SAR 920, and a villa from SAR 2,150. What settles the final amount in Taif is the piece count, the floor and lift, the distance to the district, and whether the house stands on a street a truck can enter or on a slope that needs a smaller vehicle. Send photos to 0552803439 to receive the price.
You are based in Jeddah, so how do you move homes inside Taif?
By advance booking. Our establishment is registered in Jeddah and Taif is about 170 km away, so the crew and the truck are scheduled for your moving day and reach you in the morning. That is why we advise booking several days ahead, and earlier still in summer, when demand in the city rises. We do not claim a branch or a warehouse in Taif.
Do you take down curtains and hang them again?
Yes. Each curtain is slid off its track and folded with its lining into a bag marked with the room and the window; the tracks and brackets are removed and their screws collected in a small bag taped to them. In the new home the tracks are fixed and the curtains hung wherever their size fits the windows. If the size differs, we tell you before drilling into the wall.
How do you deal with narrow streets and slopes in Taif?
We ask about the street before moving day and request a photo of it. If it cannot take a large truck, we send a small one that carries the furniture in several runs or hands it over to a bigger truck waiting on the main road. On a slope the wheels are chocked before the door is opened, and heavy pieces go up on the tail lift instead of on the workers’ shoulders.
Do you serve Al-Hada, Ash-Shafa and Al-Hawiyah?
Yes, all three are covered. Al-Hawiyah lies north-east of the city near the airport and the university, and its roads are level. Al-Hada to the west and Ash-Shafa to the south are mountain heights with rest houses and summer homes, reached by a winding climb. More time is therefore allowed for the trip, and the truck is chosen by the width of the road to the door.
How long does it take to move a flat within Taif?
A two- to three-room flat is usually finished in one day: about 4 to 6 hours for dismantling, packing, loading, unloading and assembly when the building has a lift and the street is open. A single room takes two to three hours. Upper floors without a lift, many pieces to dismantle, and a new home far out in Al-Hada or Ash-Shafa all add time.
Do you move a single piece or just one room?
Yes. A fridge, a sofa or one bedroom is moved in the same way as a whole home, and the smallest job inside the city starts from SAR 460. A student carrying the contents of a room, or someone who bought a used piece and wants it delivered, needs only a small vehicle and two workers. Dismantling and reassembling a bedroom alone starts from SAR 275.
Do you move furniture from Taif to Jeddah, Makkah and Riyadh?
Yes, and to Al-Baha, Abha, Madinah and Dammam as well. Jeddah and Makkah are usually completed the same day; Riyadh is about 780 km away, so the furniture arrives the next day on a dedicated truck. The price between cities is set on request because it follows volume and distance, and anyone who accepts a shared load pays only for their space and waits a few more days.
Does the furniture truck go down the Al-Hada road to Makkah?
Large trucks are directed to the Al-Sail road, not the Al-Hada descent: the Al-Hada road is a long drop with sharp bends and is sometimes closed in rain and after rockfalls. The Al-Sail road is longer, about 120 km to Makkah, but safer for the load. We confirm the open route on the morning of loading, since traffic arrangements change with the weather and the season.
Do you dismantle air conditioners and kitchens?
Yes. A split unit is removed by a technician who pumps the gas down into the outdoor unit before disconnecting the pipes, then refits it and checks for leaks. A kitchen is taken apart cabinet by cabinet with doors and shelves numbered, and dismantling one starts from SAR 640. New installation materials for the air conditioner, such as extra piping or a gas top-up, are charged according to what the new home needs.
Do you offer furniture storage?
Yes, in our closed warehouse in Jeddah: the furniture is taken there from Taif and returned on the day you choose. A small space starts from SAR 185 a month, a single large appliance from SAR 230, and the furniture of a flat from SAR 600. Transport between Taif and the warehouse is priced with the order. You receive a photographed inventory of what went in.
Do you ship furniture from Taif to other countries?
Yes. To the Gulf states and Jordan by land in closed trucks, to other countries by sea in containers from Jeddah Islamic Port, and by air for urgent items. The furniture is dismantled and export-packed in your home in Taif, then travels to the border crossing, the port or the airport. A carton to the Gulf by land starts from SAR 140, and household furniture is set on request.
How much is air freight from Taif to destinations abroad?
It starts from SAR 14 per kilogram to the Gulf states, SAR 23 to Europe, SAR 26 to the United Kingdom, SAR 28 to North and West Africa, and SAR 41 to the United States, with documents from SAR 83. The shipment leaves from Taif airport when there is a suitable flight to its destination, and otherwise from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
When is the best time to move furniture in Taif?
Outside the summer peak if you can. In the summer months holidaymakers head for the city, so the roads to Al-Hada, Ash-Shafa and the centre fill up and moving crews are in demand. Early morning is the best time of day in every season. In winter we watch for rain and fog on the heights, and may delay loading by a few hours to protect the furniture.
