Who ships from Riyadh to Lebanon, and what do they ship?
Riyadh has a long-established Lebanese community working in engineering, medicine, contracting, restaurants and advertising. What moves most on this route is the furniture of a family returning to Lebanon after years of work. Next comes what residents send to their families: appliances, clothes, dates and gifts. Then the goods of Saudi factories and shops bound for the Lebanese market. Each shipper has a method that suits the size of the shipment and the date:
| Shipper | What they ship | Most suitable method |
|---|---|---|
| A Lebanese citizen leaving on final exit | Home furniture, appliances and belongings | Full truck by land, or a container by sea |
| A resident sending to family | Cartons, suitcases, appliances and gifts | Shared load by land, or air for urgent items |
| A Saudi furnishing a home in Lebanon | Bedrooms, sitting rooms and carpets | Shared load or a small truck |
| A car owner | A car under 8 years old | Container by sea, or a carrier by land |
| A trader or factory | Dates, foodstuffs, building materials and Saudi products | Full truck by land, or a container by sea |
| Companies, official bodies and embassies | Office furniture, equipment and documents | A dedicated truck, and air for documents |
Route and transit time from Riyadh to Lebanon
The Kingdom and Lebanon share no border, so the truck crosses two countries before it arrives: Jordan, then Syria. It leaves Riyadh northwards on the Qassim road, then Hail and Al-Jouf, as far as the Al-Haditha crossing near Qurayyat. After that it crosses Jordan from Al-Omari to Jaber, then Syria from Nassib to Damascus and Jdeidet Yabous, and enters Lebanon at the Masnaa crossing in the Bekaa. From Masnaa it climbs the Dahr el-Baidar mountain road and descends to Beirut. The driving itself takes about three days, and the rest goes on loading, clearance at the crossings and unloading.
| Stage | Approximate distance | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Riyadh → Qassim → Hail → Al-Jouf → Al-Haditha | About 1,400 km | The longest stage, ending with Saudi export clearance and sealing the truck |
| Al-Omari → Azraq → Zarqa → Jaber | About 200 km | Crossing Jordan on a transit document |
| Nassib → Damascus → Jdeidet Yabous | About 150 km | Crossing Syria on a transit document |
| Masnaa → Chtaura → Dahr el-Baidar → Beirut | About 60 km | Lebanese clearance, then distribution to the addresses |
| Method | Door-to-door time | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Full truck by land | 5–7 days | A full home’s furniture and goods |
| Shared load by land | 7–10 days | One or two rooms, cartons and luggage |
| Car carrier by land | 6–10 days | Cars |
| Container by sea to the Port of Beirut | About 14–22 days | Cars, heavy loads and furniture that is not urgent |
| Air | 2–4 days | Documents, parcels and samples |
Some adverts promise three days to Beirut. That is the driving time alone for a truck that never stops, not the time of a shipment that is packed, inventoried and cleared at six border posts. So always ask: is the time counted from loading or from the order? And does it include clearance at Masnaa?
What lengthens the time?
- The state of the crossings: three borders and six posts, each with inspection and stamping, and each can be congested.
- Transshipment: the load may be moved from one truck to another in the yard of a crossing, depending on the rules applied at the time of shipping.
- Winter: the Dahr el-Baidar road between the Bekaa and Beirut can be closed by snow for days.
- Summer: the expatriates’ return season crowds the crossings and raises demand for trucks.
- A vague list of contents: it gets cartons opened at more than one crossing.
- The exemption file: one missing paper delays the release of the furniture in Lebanon.
Shipping prices from Riyadh to Lebanon
On this route the price is worked out by the kilogram or cubic metre for a shared load, and by the truck or container for large loads. It includes what Gulf routes do not: transit fees in two countries, and a broker’s fee at more than one crossing. These are the prices our services start from, Riyadh to Lebanon:
| What you ship | Method | Price starts from |
|---|---|---|
| Small parcel | Shared land | SAR 55 |
| Parcels and cartons by weight | Shared land | SAR 11 per kilogram |
| A home appliance or a piece of furniture | Shared land | SAR 415 |
| A shipment of luggage, cartons and suitcases | Shared land | SAR 1,650 |
| A small flat’s furniture | Land | SAR 3,700 |
| A large flat’s furniture | Land, full truck | SAR 6,000 |
| 20-foot container | Sea to the Port of Beirut | SAR 4,600 |
| Saloon car | Sea | SAR 2,800 |
| Car on a carrier | Land | SAR 4,140 |
| Parcels and urgent items | Air | SAR 14 per kilogram |
| Documents | Express | SAR 83 |
| A villa’s furniture or goods needing more than one truck | Land or sea | Set on request |
The prices circulating in the market for this route are higher than that on most lines. Shared land freight is offered from SAR 12 per kilogram, a small shipment from SAR 60, a piece of furniture or an appliance from SAR 450, a car on a land carrier from SAR 4,500, air freight between SAR 35 and 80 per kilogram, and a container between SAR 4,000 and 6,500. Higher figures circulate too: SAR 150 to 350 for an air parcel up to 5 kg, SAR 5,000 to 8,000 for a medium home’s furniture by sea, SAR 9,000 to 18,000 for a full home’s furniture, SAR 4,500 to 9,500 for a car, and SAR 11,000 to 22,000 for a 20-foot container. So use the table as a point of comparison for any figure you receive, and always ask what it covers.
| What sets the price | Its effect |
|---|---|
| Volume and weight | The first factor. Work out the volume with the CBM calculator |
| Method | Land is cheaper for furniture, sea for a car or a heavy load, and air costs most per kilogram |
| Full truck or shared | Full is faster and dearer; with shared you pay for your space only |
| Transit and clearance fees | The shipment crosses Jordan and Syria before it is cleared in Lebanon |
| Delivery city | Beirut, or the Mountain, the North, the South and the Bekaa |
| Difficulty of delivery | Upper floors in old buildings, and narrow mountain roads |
| Season | Summer brings higher demand, and winter longer times |
How do you lower the cost?
- Choose a shared load if your volume is under half a truck and your date is not pressing.
- Before you book, find out whether the returning-Lebanese exemption applies to your furniture; duty paid at Masnaa for no reason outweighs whatever you save on the truck’s hire.
- Do not put new appliances in their boxes among a returnee’s furniture; they are counted as goods.
- Put your furniture and your car in one container by sea if the volume allows.
- Book outside the summer months if you can.
- Photograph all the pieces and cartons and send the pictures on WhatsApp; when we size the load accurately, the price on loading day stays as agreed.
What is distinctive about shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon?
Riyadh is the farthest of the Kingdom’s major cities from the northern crossings after the Eastern Province, yet it lies on the direct road to them. A truck from Riyadh passes neither Jeddah nor Tabuk; it takes the Qassim road, then Hail, then Al-Jouf to the Al-Haditha crossing, the largest land port in the Kingdom, which faces Jordan’s Al-Omari post. That makes land freight from Riyadh about a day shorter than land freight from Jeddah to the same destination.
Riyadh is also an inland city with no port. Anyone who wants a container by sea has it trucked to Jeddah Islamic Port on the Red Sea, and from there north through the Suez Canal to the Port of Beirut. Air freight, on the other hand, leaves King Khalid International Airport directly for Beirut. Entry of large trucks into Riyadh’s districts is regulated by hours set by the traffic department, so in some districts we load with a smaller vehicle that carries the shipment to the truck, and we confirm the hours in force before loading day.
Land freight from Riyadh to Lebanon: the crossings and what happens at them

Land freight is the first method to Lebanon because it carries furniture from door to door with a single loading. But it is not like shipping to the Gulf: here there is more than one crossing and more than one document. The truck is sealed on leaving the Kingdom, its seal is checked at every post, and it crosses Jordan and Syria on transit documents because the shipment is not sold in either. The actual clearance of the goods takes place in Lebanon alone.
| Border | The two facing posts | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia → Jordan | Al-Haditha → Al-Omari | Saudi export declaration, then opening the Jordan transit |
| Jordan → Syria | Jaber → Nassib | Closing the Jordan transit and opening the Syria transit |
| Syria → Lebanon | Jdeidet Yabous → Masnaa | Closing the Syria transit, then the Lebanese customs declaration and inspection |
- The truck: closed and sealed, and its seal is opened only in front of customs.
- The list: detailed and numbered in Arabic and English, as it is what is presented at every post.
- Entering Syria: Syria regulates the entry of non-Syrian trucks into its territory and exempts those in transit. Transshipment of the load may be required at one of the crossings, depending on the rules applied, so we pack on that assumption.
- The Masnaa crossing: the main land crossing between Lebanon and Syria, through which Lebanese trucks returned to the Kingdom after a halt of several years.
- Winter: we build a margin into the date for snow closing the Dahr el-Baidar road.
Note: the state of the land road to Lebanon changes with conditions at the three borders. Depending on the state of the crossings, we confirm the available route before shipping, and we do not promise a land date before that. If the road is not dependable in the week of your order, we suggest a container by sea or air freight. Service details are on the land freight page.
Furniture and household goods shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon

The furniture of Lebanese homes in Riyadh includes pieces that need special care: carved and gilded classical salons, marble-topped tables, crystal chandeliers, ornaments and china. These pieces travel 1,800 km, are opened for inspection at more than one crossing, and may be moved from one truck to another. Packing that is enough for a move within Riyadh is not enough here. We pack every piece on the basis that it will be loaded and unloaded more than once.
- Dismantling: we take apart bedrooms, wardrobes and kitchens and number the panels, taping to each panel a bag holding its own screws so none go missing between crossings.
- The classical salon: legs and carving are wrapped in thin foam, then blankets, then corrugated cardboard, and no strap is tightened over carved wood.
- Marble, glass and mirrors: in made-to-measure wooden crates, carried upright, not flat.
- Chandeliers and ornaments: the chandelier is dismantled and its parts wrapped singly, and ornaments go in padded crates that are numbered and marked “Fragile”.
- Sofas, mattresses and carpets: plastic wrap protects them from dust and damp, and carpets are rolled, not folded.
- Appliances: the fridge is unplugged and dried a day before, the washing machine’s drum is secured, and the air conditioner’s gas is pumped down into the outdoor unit.
- Inventory and records: a numbered list of every carton and piece, and photos before packing and after loading sent to you.
- Assembly in Lebanon: we unload and assemble bedrooms and wardrobes in your new home, and remove the packing waste.
If your home in Lebanon is not ready yet, we store the furniture packed and inventoried until you set the date. Service details are on the furniture shipping page, packing methods in the packing guide, and storage on the storage page.
Full truck or shared load?
On a route with three borders the difference between the two options grows. A full truck is sealed at your home, its seal is opened only in front of customs, and it leaves on your loading day. A shared load waits for the truck to fill with other people’s shipments, then each shipment in it is cleared on its own papers, so one shipper’s late paper can delay everyone. That is why we recommend a full truck for anyone claiming the exemption on a full home’s furniture, and a shared load for a room and cartons.
| Comparison | Shared load | Full truck |
|---|---|---|
| You pay for | Your shipment’s space or weight | The whole truck |
| Time | 7–10 days | 5–7 days |
| Departure | Once the truck is full | On loading day |
| Clearance | Each shipper’s papers separately | One file for one owner |
| Handling | Consolidated at the warehouse, then loaded | Loaded straight from your home |
| Best for | Up to about two rooms, cartons and luggage | A full home or a large quantity of goods |
Shipping parcels, suitcases, electronics and electrical appliances
Not every shipment to Lebanon is furniture. Many of our customers send a carton of clothes to their family, suitcases that travel ahead of their owner, or a television, a computer and a home appliance bought in Riyadh. These travel in the shared land load by weight, which is far cheaper than air once the weight passes a few kilograms. Air remains for what cannot wait.
- Parcels and cartons: from SAR 11 per kilogram by land, and a small parcel from SAR 55. Cartons are double-walled and no more than 30 kg each.
- Suitcases and luggage: wrapped and numbered, and entered in the list of contents under their owner’s name.
- Phones and computers: they stay in the factory box, which we place in a larger cushioned carton. Anything new travels with its invoice attached and is declared on the list.
- Screens: in their original carton or a wooden crate, carried upright.
- Home appliances: moving parts are secured and the unit packed in foam and reinforced cardboard, from SAR 415 per appliance.
- Electricity in Lebanon: the supply is 220 volts, close to the Kingdom’s, so most appliances work. Sockets there come in several types, most with two round pins, so you may need an adaptor.
- Power equipment: electricity is intermittent in Lebanon, so many people ship stabilisers, inverters and solar panels. Panels are stacked upright, and batteries go in their boxes at the bottom of the load.
Details are on the parcel shipping page.
Shipping commercial goods and large quantities to Lebanon
The Lebanese market imports dates, foodstuffs, plastics, building materials and detergents from the Kingdom. Goods of Saudi origin benefit from the exemptions of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area when a valid certificate of origin accompanies them. The rule for quantities is simple: the larger the shipment, the lower the cost per kilogram, because the hire of the truck or container is spread over more weight.
- Documents: a commercial invoice, packing list, attested certificate of origin and bill of lading.
- The importer: with a Lebanese commercial register and tax number, as the customs declaration is opened in their name.
- Foodstuffs and dates: with a health certificate; cosmetics and medicines with approval from the relevant ministry in Lebanon.
- Units: by the pallet or cubic metre in a shared load, and by the full truck or container for quantities.
- Method: a truck by land for what is urgent, and a container by sea for heavy and non-urgent cargo.
- Regular contracts: a fixed price for monthly trips, and delivery to several addresses in Lebanon on one trip.
Details are on the commercial shipping page.
Car shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon
Shipping a car to Lebanon starts with two questions before the price: how old is it, and what will its duties be there? The rule applied in Lebanon is that a used car more than 8 years old is not accepted for import. Duties are worked out on a value assessed by Lebanese customs and rise with engine size, and they can exceed what you expect. We confirm the condition in force for your car before it moves.
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Age limit | 8 years for a used car is the rule applied; we confirm what is in force before shipping |
| By sea in a container | To the Port of Beirut, from SAR 2,800, and the most dependable for dates |
| By land on a carrier | Through Jordan and Syria, from SAR 4,140 |
| Steering side | Left-hand drive, as in the Kingdom; right-hand drive is not accepted |
| Charges in Lebanon | Customs duty, excise duty and value added tax, then registration fees |
| Export from the Kingdom | An export certificate from the traffic department after paying fines and surrendering the plates |
- Protection: in a container the car is secured with wheel straps and covered with a fabric cover. On a land carrier it is tied down by the wheels, not the body.
- A financed car: needs a no-objection letter from the finance company before export.
- The car empty: no personal belongings are left inside, and the fuel stays at a quarter.
- Temporary entry: anyone driving their car into Lebanon as a visitor needs the customs carnet, explained on the triptik carnet page.
For the wider picture before your car leaves Riyadh, the article car shipping from Saudi Arabia sets out the general conditions, while the car shipping page describes the service itself.
Lebanese customs: used furniture, new goods and tax
Lebanon is outside the Gulf customs union, so nothing enters it without a customs declaration. As a rule, everything that enters carries a duty by item and then value added tax, used furniture included. The important exception is the furniture of a Lebanese citizen returning for good from living abroad, and it has conditions that are checked before shipping, not after arrival.
| Item | Rule applied |
|---|---|
| Customs duty | By item, on a value assessed by customs |
| Value added tax | 11%. The government approved raising it to 12% and that was not yet in force, so we confirm the rate in effect on request |
| A returning Lebanese citizen’s furniture | Exempt if they lived abroad for more than 3 years and are returning for good, and once only |
| Proof for the exemption | A statement from the Lebanese embassy of the period of residence, and a list of contents authenticated by it |
| Condition of the furniture | Used and showing signs of use, and owned for some months |
| Arrival date | Within a set period of the owner’s entry into Lebanon, which we confirm with the broker |
| New items in their boxes | Duty and tax are paid on them even among exempt furniture |
| A foreigner moving to live there | With a work contract, residence permit and lease, and the file is checked with the broker |
Exempt furniture may not be sold in Lebanon before a period set by the regulations has passed. The presence of the shipment’s owner or their agent at clearance is usually required, so line up your travel date with the truck’s arrival. The procedure is on the customs clearance page.
Documents required for shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon
The land road crosses three borders, and each border reads the same papers. So an incomplete file is not delayed once but three times. That is why we ask for all the documents before loading day and check them one by one:
| Type of shipment | Documents |
|---|---|
| Furniture of someone returning for good | Passport, Iqama and final exit visa, the Lebanese embassy statement, and a numbered, authenticated list of contents |
| Furniture and belongings without exemption | Passport or ID, and a numbered list of contents with approximate values |
| Cartons and gifts | The sender’s ID, the consignee’s name, address and Lebanese mobile number, and a description of the contents |
| Commercial goods | Commercial invoice, packing list, attested certificate of origin, bill of lading, and the importer’s register |
| Car | The registration, the export certificate, the owner’s ID, and the purchase invoice if available |
| All shipments | An authorisation for the broker if the shipment’s owner is not present |
Each document is explained on the required documents page.
What cannot be shipped to Lebanon or needs a permit
The list here brings together three sets of rules: what the Kingdom bans from export, what Lebanon bans, and what is never loaded on a furniture truck in the first place. A single banned item among the cartons can stop the whole truck at the crossing:
| Item | Ruling |
|---|---|
| Drugs and alcohol | Not shipped from the Kingdom |
| Weapons, ammunition and fireworks | Banned |
| Medicines and medical preparations | With approval from the Lebanese Ministry of Health; personal quantities with a prescription |
| Telecommunication and wireless devices | With a prior licence |
| Counterfeits | Confiscated |
| Foodstuffs | Personal, packaged quantities; commercial ones with a health certificate |
| Flammable materials, gas cylinders and aerosols | Not loaded with furniture |
| Loose lithium batteries | Not shipped by air, and packed separately by land |
| Cash, gold and original documents | Not shipped with furniture; keep them with you |
The general list is on the prohibited items page.
Delivery in Beirut and the Lebanese regions

Lebanon is small, and its farthest cities are under two hours from Beirut. But delivery there is not always easy: old buildings with no goods lift, narrow streets a truck cannot enter, and mountain villages on slopes. So we transfer the shipment in Beirut or the Bekaa to smaller vehicles that take it to the address, and we unload and assemble inside the home.
| Region | Main cities and districts | Delivery note |
|---|---|---|
| Beirut and its suburbs | Achrafieh, Hamra, Ras Beirut, Verdun, Dahieh | Old buildings; we ask about the floor and the lift |
| Mount Lebanon | Jounieh, Byblos, Baabda, Aley, Metn, Chouf | 20–40 km from Beirut, with mountain roads that need a smaller vehicle |
| The North | Tripoli, El Mina, Zgharta, Koura, Batroun, Akkar | Tripoli is about 85 km from Beirut |
| The South | Sidon, Tyre, Nabatieh | Sidon about 45 km, and Tyre about 85 km |
| The Bekaa | Zahle, Chtaura, Baalbek, Rashaya | The first area the truck reaches after Masnaa; Zahle is about 55 km from Beirut |
When booking, mention the floor and the type of road in front of the home, and send a Lebanese mobile number for the consignee. If delivery is in the Bekaa, the shipment arrives before Beirut shipments, because it does not wait to cross Dahr el-Baidar. Destination details are on the shipping to Lebanon page.
Shipping for individuals, companies, official bodies and embassies
A returning family, a company and an embassy all ship with us from Riyadh to Lebanon on the same truck, yet each asks for something different: the family cares about a price it can understand and rooms assembled in its Lebanese home, the business about receiving a tax invoice and a date that holds, and the official body about paperwork done by letter and a record signed at handover:
| Customer | What matters to them | What we provide |
|---|---|---|
| Individuals and returning families | The safety of the furniture and the exemption file | A photo survey, dismantling, packing and assembly, and a check of the exemption papers before shipping |
| Companies and shops | The date and the documents | A dedicated truck, tax invoices, and regular trips on contract with one account manager |
| Exhibitions and projects | Arriving before the opening date | Temporary storage, air freight for what is late, and delivery inside the site |
| Government bodies and embassies | Official procedure and privacy | Letters, a handover record, and coordination of diplomatic exemption documents |
Sea freight from Riyadh to Lebanon
Sea is the alternative when the land road is not dependable, and it suits cars and heavy loads best. The container is loaded and sealed at your site in Riyadh, then trucked to Jeddah Islamic Port. From there the ship sails north up the Red Sea and through the Suez Canal to the Port of Beirut, a sailing of 5 to 9 days. With trucking to the port and clearance at both ends, the time comes to about 14 to 22 days door to door.
- 20-foot container: holds a flat’s furniture, or a car with belongings, and its sea freight starts from SAR 4,600. Trucking it from Riyadh to the port is set on request.
- 40-foot container: for a full home’s furniture or two cars; sealed at your home and opened in Lebanon.
- Part load: for under 15 m³, where you pay for your volume only.
- The advantage: one border, the port, unaffected by the land crossings or by mountain snow.
- The Port of Tripoli: an alternative for shipments to the North.
- Why not from Dammam? A ship from the Gulf sails round the whole Arabian Peninsula before it reaches the Red Sea, lengthening the voyage to no benefit.
Details are on the sea freight page, and container capacities on the container sizes page.
Air freight from Riyadh to Lebanon

King Khalid International Airport has direct flights to Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, with a flying time of about two and a half hours. The shipment arrives in two to 4 days, including collection from your address, clearance at both airports and delivery in Lebanon. Air passes no land crossing, so it is the method that road conditions do not affect.
- For whom: documents, urgent parcels, commercial samples, suitcases and permitted medicines.
- Calculation: we compare the parcel’s weight on the scale with its volumetric weight and charge the higher of the two. Try the volumetric weight calculator before you pack.
- Price: starts from SAR 14 per kilogram for larger weights, and express documents from SAR 83.
- When land suits better: for furniture, large appliances and anything bulky, where the cost difference is large.
- What does not fly: perfumes in quantity, aerosols, loose batteries and flammable liquids.
- Clearance: a small personal parcel is cleared on a copy of the consignee’s ID, and goods on a customs declaration with duties.
Details are on the air freight page.
Collection from Riyadh’s districts and nearby towns
We pack and load at your site, in any district of Riyadh: Al-Malqa, Al-Yasmin, Al-Narjis and Hittin in the north, Al-Rawdah and Al-Naseem in the east, Al-Olaya, Al-Sulaymaniyah and Al-Malaz in the centre, and Al-Suwaidi, Al-Aziziyah and Al-Shifa in the south and west. We also collect from nearby towns and from the cities on the truck’s road north:
| City | Position from Riyadh | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Diriyah and Al-Muzahimiyah | Up to 60 km | Collected on the same day as Riyadh |
| Al-Kharj | About 80 km | Collected the day before loading |
| Qassim | About 350 km north | On the truck’s road, loaded on the way |
| Hail and Al-Jouf | On the line of the trip to Al-Haditha | Added to the truck before the crossing |
| Dammam and Khobar | About 400 km east | Moved to Riyadh, then added to the trip |
Our services in the city are in the article international shipping company in Riyadh.
Steps for shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon
Booking itself takes minutes: a WhatsApp message with photos of what you are shipping and the two addresses. We handle what follows, from your door in Riyadh to the consignee’s door in Lebanon:
- Contact: you send what you are shipping with photos, your district in Riyadh, and your address in Lebanon.
- Method: we suggest land, sea or air according to the state of the crossings, the size of the shipment and your date.
- Itemised price: it reaches you by item: dismantling, packing, transport, transit, clearance and assembly.
- Checking the papers: we check the exemption documents or invoices before fixing the loading day.
- Packing and loading: at your home, with a numbered list of contents and photos, then sealing the truck.
- The crossing: export at Al-Haditha, then transit through Jordan and Syria, and we update you at each crossing.
- Lebanese clearance: at Masnaa, the port or the airport, with you or your agent present.
- Delivery: to the address, with unloading, assembly and checking the pieces against the list.
Tracking, insurance and customer service
A shipment crossing three borders needs someone following it, not just an automated number. From the moment of loading you have one coordinator whose name and number you know, who updates you at every stage: leaving Riyadh, reaching Al-Haditha, crossing Jordan and Syria, finishing clearance at Masnaa, and the time of arrival at your door.
- Tracking: your shipment number shows the last land crossing the truck has passed or the port the container has reached. How to look it up is explained on the track your shipment page.
- Records: photos of every piece before packing and after loading, and a delivery report with photos on arrival.
- Insurance: not compulsory, and its premium is a share of the value you declare. We think you should take it if your shipment will cross Jordan and Syria by road or sail from Jeddah. It is explained on the cargo insurance page.
- The Home Safe guarantee: the furniture’s safety from breakage and scratches during our packing, loading and unloading.
- Customer service: in Arabic by phone and WhatsApp from 7 am to 11 pm, with payment by the method agreed in the offer.
- On receipt: do not sign the delivery record until you have counted the pieces off against the list’s numbers, and if anything is missing or damaged, note it on that same record.
Shipping from Lebanon to Riyadh
The route works in both directions. By land through the Masnaa crossing, now that Lebanese trucks have returned to the Kingdom after a halt of several years, by sea from the Port of Beirut to Jeddah Islamic Port, and by air from Rafic Hariri Airport to King Khalid Airport. We collect from your address in Lebanon, clear at the crossings, and deliver to any district of Riyadh. Imports into the Kingdom are subject to Saudi customs and conformity requirements, so we check the type of goods before loading them.
Tips before shipping to Lebanon
- Start the embassy statement weeks before shipping; it is the longest part of the file.
- Write the list of contents in detail: “7-seat sofa set”, not “furniture”.
- Set aside what you will carry yourself: passports, contracts, gold and medicines.
- Do not ship by land in winter without a margin of days for the mountain road.
- Ask a broker in Lebanon about the duty on your car before you ship it.
- Arrange to reach Lebanon before the truck does, as your presence at clearance is usually required.
- Photograph the appliances working before they are packed.
How do you choose a shipping company from Riyadh to Lebanon?
The names are many and the promises alike: “the cheapest”, “the fastest” and discounts in large percentages. What separates one company from another is the answer to specific questions about the road, the papers and the delivery:
| What you ask about | A reassuring sign | A warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| The land date | Checks the state of the crossings, then promises | A flat promise of three days |
| Method | Offers land, sea and air and explains the difference | One method for every shipment |
| The exemption | Checks your papers before shipping | “Everything is exempt” |
| Price | Itemised: transport, transit, clearance, delivery | One figure with no breakdown, or a big discount with no original price |
| Delivery | To the address in Beirut and the regions, with assembly | Collection from the Masnaa yard or the port |
| Registration | A verifiable commercial register and a receipt | A mobile number only |

Which road does the truck take to Lebanon?
North from Riyadh through Qassim, Hail and Al-Jouf to the Al-Haditha crossing, then Al-Omari and Jaber in Jordan, then Nassib and Jdeidet Yabous in Syria, entering Lebanon at the Masnaa crossing. Depending on the state of the crossings, we confirm the available route before shipping.
